Ragnarök-RP Thread

"Or you can just quit it. Ulric isn't a place that you can just frivolously connect things to..." Belial said, sighing. "Instead of wasting your time on useless things, I'll show you something better to spend your time on. Follow me." Belial said before flying into the air.

"It is true, I have yet to earn your respect," Lance said.

"But that's only for the moment my good sir! I don't plan on simply resting on my laurels, letting your power go to waste! I want to achieve truly great things with you by my side. things so great that even you may respect me!"Lance said confidently. he had big dreams, and now finally had the power to accomplish them.

"although if I'm going to achieve anything, it would be smart If I gained more...experience using your powers. Do you think another spar would be wise?" Lance asked the angel.
"That depends on who you desire to face, mortal." Metatron said.

"I would not consider this a waste of time, my lord, but what is this something anyway?" Demiurge asked
"You'll know when you get there." Belial said before they ended up before a large portal, "If you don't know, there are some singularities that are appearing throughout human history. A certain Evil of Humanity seems to be trigger-happy..." Belial said, sighing.

"So, we are going to resolve one."

"That depends on who you desire to face, mortal." Metatron said.
"There's a woman who dwells in these halls. Some call her the greatest hero the dream world has ever seen."

"...Rory the 6th, a woman whose exploits have reached even the farthest corners of the universe."

"Sounds like a foe worthy of your power, does it not? that is, of course, assuming she accepts"

"I believe the singularity you are talking of is already on its way to be resolved, the Evil of Humanity who controls it cares not for humans and wouldn't kill anyone there before leaving and letting it die." Demiurge noted
"Backlash." Belial said, "Creating singularities in human history is bound to create a backlash in other places. This is a completely different one from where my friend Shalor and his companions are... Although it isn't nearly as serious, it bugs me."

"Hm... I have never met her, but she sounds like quite the warrior. You are sure you can take her on, mortal?" Metatron asked.

"Depends on which one we are talking about, but the Absalom we seem to be dealing with was the first of the Nephilim before he was felled and became a source for corruption as the story goes, but this one is merely a corrupted-looking warrior, while skilled in combat even by my standards his intelligence elsewhere is painfully average. Hardly an Evil of Humanity at first glance." Demiurge informed Belial

"Then he should be easy to defeat," Belial said, "Come now." Belial flew through the large portal, entering the singularity.

"Fuyuki, huh?" Belial thought to himself.

"Hm... I have never met her, but she sounds like quite the warrior. You are sure you can take her on, mortal?" Metatron asked.
"Perhaps not, but win or lose, fighting one of the greatest warriors that dream world has to offer will surely be a good way to test my abilities to their limit."

"I suppose you could call it a....trial by fire. She's strong, against her, I know I won't have to hold back any of my abilities. at least if her reputation is anything to believe" Lance said.

he stood up and started walking through the castle once more, seeing if he can locate Rory.

After a few minutes of walking around the establishment, Lance found Rory in one of the castle's training rooms, swinging her sword without end. With each passing second, she swung her sword, beads of sweat flying across the room.

"Not good enough...!" She thought to herself, the skin on her hands having already been heavily torn from the sheer number of times she swung her wooden sword, her eyes fuzzy, it was clear that it would be difficult to get the swordswoman's attention.

Absalom was standing on top of the site where the Fuyuki reactor meltdown of 2004 took place, standing at it's epicenter, spotting Belial Immediately as he neared

"A mere boy? no, there's something different about you! Let's see it!" Absalom called out, turning to face Belial

Demiurge laughed "Oh he has no idea what he's getting into!" Demiurge said, amused

"oh dear. it seems she has been training for quite a while! and that focus! She truly is a master of the blade."

Lance gingerly walked towards Rory, though he took care to remain out of sword range.

"Miss Rory!" Lance called out.

"Would you like a training partner?"

Belial gripped his blade of shadows, glaring at Absalom. "I assume you are the ruler of this singularity... It matters not. I'll crush you all the same." Belial said, pointing his blade towards Absalom.

"Hahahahaha! You have guts!" Absalom said, instantly teleporting and aiming a perfectly placed strike to Decapitate Belial
Belial bent his body forward, dodging the strike to his neck. "Thanks," Belial said before delivering a kick to Absalom's stomach, blowing the warrior back a few meters.

Rory was not alarmed by Lance calling for her, still completely focused on her training. "I still can't manifest my willpower at will... I need to figure out what I'm missing, and quick." Rory thought to herself, continuing to swing her sword.

Lance continued to stand there.

"it seems I must interrupt her concentration." he thought.

using his illusion creation, combined with the powers of Metatron, he created an illusionary swordsman. This illusion was perfect, fooling all five senses, and could even elicit pain.

the illusionary warrior rushed towards Rory, his hand clasped tightly on its katana. with a mighty leap, the warrior jumped forward and delivered a downward slash towards Rory. dealing no damage but likely getting her attention if successful.

Rory's eyes widened as she saw this illusionary swordsman, easily speed-blitzing the illusion and cutting it into non-existence, creating an enormous gash mark on the floor and ceiling. "...What." Was all she said as she turned to Lance.

"my apologies for interrupting your training Miss Rory," Lance said, bowing.

"but I was looking for someone to test my abilities against. seeing as you don't currently have a sparring partner, would you like to have a quick spar with me?" Lance said politely.

Absalom then attacked Belial from all angles, spawning more axes on his tentacles and looking to cut the boy into pieces with constant swings, moving a bit faster then Belial
Belial surrounded himself in shadows in order to block the attack, although her was nicked by Absalom's vicious assault via the warrior being a bit faster than the boy. "Not bad..." Belial regenerated in an instant, turning the shadows into a large drill in an attempt to pierce his stomach.

"Like I said, Pro Wrestlers are some of the strongest guys around. underestimate us and you'll regret it! gimme all that you got!" David said. he transitions from his headlock into a suplex. forcefully lifting Yamato into the air by her neck and slamming her headfirst into the ground behind him.
Yamato's face and body morphed, taking on features akin to a wolf-like creature (think Yamato's hybrid form in One Piece). Flipping over at high speeds, she slams King Tiger down into the ground, gripping his neck in retaliation. Without hesitation, she summons her kanabo, with it falling down on King Tiger's face in hopes of breaking his concentration and thus his grip.

"Very well, then!" Yamato said, "Do not disappoint me!"

Absalom jumped and moved to trap and kill Belial then and there..

"Aspect of the devil: Demon Arm." Demiurge said and blew Absalom back at least ten meters by morphing his arm into one that flew just over Belial's head and hit Absalom five meters up, Absalom quickly recovered and sent similar spikes to Belial as the ladder had sent towards him, glistening with corruption

David hardened the flesh and bone around his face, preventing the Kanabo from breaking anything on impact, yet the attack disrupted his concentration just enough that she could slip out.

David, not wanting to let Yamato escape so easily, rushed forward, delivering a double leg takedown as he attempted to tackle her to the ground. if successful, he would lift a piece of rock from the nearby terrain, before coating it in his forcefield, he would then slam the rock against her stomach, the rock acting as a makeshift club as he slammed it into her repeatedly, using his willpower arms to further restrain her.

Yamato raised her legs, grabbing either side of King Tiger's head, slamming it onto her knee before punting him in the ribs as if she was kicking a field goal. She then tossed her kanabo toward him, darting toward him from behind to deliver a powerful barrage of punches to his spine before flipping over him and slamming him back to the ground with her kanabo once more.

"Sparring, huh?" Rory asked, stretching out a bit, the cracking of her bones being audible due to how stiff she was. "Sure. I'd be up for that. Allow me to freshen up, though. I'm quite gross as of now." Rory said.

Belial swiftly dodged the spikes, throwing his shadow blade towards Absalom at untold speeds, crashing against the warrior's stomach and piercing it. "Now!" Belial yelled out as he got closer to Absalom, summoning shadows to restrain him, leaving him open for Demiurge.

David managed to harden his spine and protect it with his forcefield, allowing him to continue fighting despite her fierce barrage of blows. however the damage was not fully negated, his ribs were bruised and nearly broken, and his spine was close to fracturing. he was certainly not in good shape after such a fierce barrage.

David stood up and delivered a straight punch to Yamato's stomach, using his gravity manipulation to vastly slow down her movements as the sheer force of downward gravity slammed into her. moments later, he grabbed her by the back of the head, slamming her face-first into the ground. if both attacks were successful, David would jump upward, before delivering a vicious elbow drop onto Yamato's spine.

"you're a damn good fighter Yamato!" David yelled out.

"Sparring, huh?" Rory asked, stretching out a bit, the cracking of her bones being audible due to how stiff she was. "Sure. I'd be up for that. Allow me to freshen up, though. I'm quite gross as of now." Rory said.
"Of course madam! take as long as you need. I'll wait here for you" Lance said.

Absalom was dropped to one knee, as Demiurge flew at him looking to decapitate the evil of humanity it smiled, breaking out of the shadows it grabbed Demiurge and Belial by the face at an extreme speed, dragging them both along the ground with energies lashing at them before throwing them up and smashing into them with his tentacles, Demiurge knocked Absalom back with a blast of lightning, the sheer force of the attack driving Absalom's quickly regenerating body back

"Of course madam! take as long as you need. I'll wait here for you" Lance said.
Rory nodded, "Thanks. It shouldn't take too long." Rory said as she went to a nearby shower room, stripping down swiftly and turning on some hot water, hot to the point that it was heavily steaming. Under her clothes were a plethora of unhealed battle scars, hideous gashes permeated her torso that she had gotten from various enemies throughout her time in the Dream World.

A few of them were from her old lover, Pandora. Some she had gotten when she fought Yharim when she had first met him long ago... She had scars she had gotten from fighting King Tiger, Belial, Valdagyðja, Kill-Gaia when he had yet to reveal himself as the Ultimate Evil, and many more.

"How many people have I fought in my lifetime...?" She thought to herself.

She felt it to be depressing, really. Had that meteorite not hit the Earth, her life may have turned out different. She may have escaped her cursed household and went off to be somebody else. David may have pursued a career as a pro-wrestler, Masayoshi could have become a lawyer, Pandora could have followed in her father's footsteps and become a famous scientist, Yharim could have become a dictator or leader, Kiara could have led a peaceful life as a schoolgirl. So many of her comrades wouldn't have to suffer, innocent people wouldn't have to suffer if that calamity hadn't befallen the Earth...

"Damn..."

It was so depressing that it brought her to the verge of tears, but she shook her head and got out of the shower. "Can't change the past." She thought to herself, even if she was still sort of sad. "You can't change the past..." Rory put on a white T-Shirt and black pants, and returned to Lance.

"Yo." Was all she said.

Belial created sphere of vibrating space and shot it towards Absalom, ripping his entire body apart down at the quantum level to help thwart his swift regenerative capabilities.

"Salutations Rory!" Lance said a grin on his face.

"You look a bit....troubled. We could postpone this duel of ours if something is on your mind" Lance said.

"You look a bit....troubled. We could postpone this duel of ours if something is on your mind" Lance said.
"Nonsense. I'm fine." Rory was troubled... Yes. But it wasn't something that would hinder her in combat, "I feel like you've got some tricks up your sleeve, so I'll take you on."

"I'm pleased to hear that you are fine madam!"

"and yes, I do have a few new tricks up my sleeve! but I'm afraid my grandest trick cannot be performed in this enclosed space" Lance said, gesturing to the room around them.

he opened a portal, which leads to an abandoned section of the planet a few kilometers away.

"let's take this to a more...open field, shall we?" Lance said, stepping through the portal.
