Pokémon General Discussion Thread Gen VI: The Best of them all

Pokémon had GBA-level sprites for their games at the end of the DS's lifespan. Pokémon was never about graphics, but it was forgivable as long as they didn't **** up the formula.

At least Gen 5 actually bothered to animate every single Pokémon.

And yeah, the series was never about graphics, but if they are going to pull a simple art style, you have to admit they should do it right at least.

I mean, in the future we will prob get an hack of that game on GBAs anyway. It won't represent the full game, but it will prob happen

I mean, Gen 6 already got ported, so...

Honestly, I'm not really that upset about the Pokemon getting removed, nor am I too invested in the graphics of the game.

I'm just psyched for the new games, and I know that any issues that are going to be in this one will likely be fixed in the possible third entry of the series. I mean, Diamond & Pearl was a disaster, but Platinum fixed most everything wrong with those two. I'm planning on staying optimistic for Gen VIII.

Except that they won't fix it. They dead ass said it's their "new philosophy" so every dick we had to eat for SwSh will remain in whatever third version we get. Or any future installements.

The fanbase will explode if the Gen 4 remake is limited to just Gen 4 itself and above.

And lets not talk about Gen 5...

I mean, Junichi Masuda said in a recent interview that it was a very difficult decision for them to do this. And that any Pokemon not found in SwSh will eventually be found in later entries.

I still hold hope they're gonna pull a B2W2 on us and add a whole bunch of them back with the third entry.

"It was a diffcult decision for us"

"But we still don't want to overturn it despite the fact that 90% of the fanbase wants us dead for it now"

INB4 certain egg moves become complicated to get because Smeargle.

Or Phione becoming expensive because no Ditto

I'll fix this spiral into Pokémon hate and disappointment.

So, Pokémon Masters actually looks great for a mobile game. I may end up getting it when it comes out.

And here we go again, another this pointless discussion are back
No one else considers it pointless my dude, and if it goes anywhere or accomplishes even a small bit it definitely had a point.

I'll undo that

TBH, Masters looks great, but all it's done for me personally is remind me how good Pokémon has the potential to be and how often it's fallen flat.

As much as I much prefer optimism and consider it the better side of the coin, I tend to be a negativity singularity kek

Don't worry. I'll keep having a glass-half-full attitude around here so both sunny and gloomy opinions may prosper.

People aren't always happy and stopping people from expressing that simply because you don't feel like hearing their complains honestly just comes off as selfish and uncaring
