Official Translation Requests Thread (New forum)

"The Demon World..."

"A space that transcends time, with a law of energy different from the universe/cosmos..."

"Quite an interesting world, but...what a shame."

"Were it not for its fate in ruination, I would have added this to my collection."

"Seems there is nothing to gain from here..."

"Onto the next...well, I guess I should head on over to Andromeda."
Thank you so much for this translation, I’d say it explains things much better than the original English translation.

我は正に胡蝶 ーーー 邯鄲の夢の中に在り一炊の夢に過ぎない存なき夢幻泡影の如し
I'm undoubtedly a butterfly... Existing within the Dream of Handan, nothing more than an empty dream, like a dream, illusion, bubble, or shadow that doesn't exist.

"Dream of Handan" (邯鄲の夢) seems to be talking about an old Chinese play about a person who sleeps and thinks to have lived an entire life when it was actually just a dream

"夢幻泡影" is a common idiom from Chinese and It's made of kanjis for dream, illusion, bubble, and shadow. it's basically supposed to talk about the way in which reality is a temporary illusion, so it mentions various terms like that, which is understood thanks to "存なき" (Kanji for existing, "存", with the suffix for a negative form "なき", so it means non-existing, that which does not exist).

Unsure of an easy way of translating that keeps all the nuance, but I guess this explanation makes it clear for you. I guess "Non-existing dream bubble" could work.

So:
I'm undoubtedly a butterfly... Existing within the Dream of Handan, nothing more than an empty dream, like a non-existing dream bubble.

Thanks so much; this gave me a better understanding. When I was reading with the official translation, I barely understood what they were talking about. I guess it was bad and some stuff was missing

The Chinese stuff— it makes sense some suff in Trinity Seven are based on some Chinese concepts.

I think I get it, Handan's dream is about wealth and splendor, so instead of calling it by name, they described the dream since most English speaking audience wouldn't get the reference.

Reminds me of Melusine from FGO, but emo ish/goth-like looking.

Gonna assume it's the line at the bottom to read:

A Star Crystal Beast who can control information. They have the power to reproduce and materialize information they collected through the possession of books and the like.

I know the favor I'm going to ask is not so common here, but I didn't know where else to go. So, can someone please confirm if the subtitles of the episode coincide with what Binah is explaining about the Multiverse? I'm looking to know specifically if she really said the phrase "The worlds that surround us are infinite". Thanks!

Yes, it's accurate. She said there are infinite/countless worlds surrounding them outside the dimension they live in.

Thank you so much! So, it is fine if it is used as proof that the Strike World has "infinite worlds", right?
Well...she said 無数 (musu)=countless/immeasurable but infinite is 無限 (mugen)
I should've been more precise because obviously this has impact on the scale, since she used the word countless rather than infinite it means the number of worlds is finite.

I just rewatched it and she said "私たちを取り巻く世界は無限です。" This time she uses the word 無限 for infinite, so yes you can use it as proof.

I'm curious to know if it says tens of times or dozens of times

Can someone translate or check the translation for these entries? I am sure it'd take a lot of time to translate it from scratch. So, there's already translated version but we need validation from translation members. It's okay if you just check the english translation and fix some parts if there's anything wrong with that. It'd be greatly appriciated.

You can read both english and chinese here

Can someone translate or check the translation for these entries? I am sure it'd take a lot of time to translate it from scratch. So, there's already translated version but we need validation from translation members. It's okay if you just check the english translation and fix some parts if there's anything wrong with that. It'd be greatly appriciated.

You can read both english and chinese here
or you can check chinese for 5 entries here
Bump!

Massive thanks to everybody who are helping out here. 🙏🙇‍♂️❤️

"Now, would you mind telling me why it's so necessary to create a mind gap before doing anything else?"

"To make mind gaps, breaking minds, and controlling minds is the barest minimum you need to know before becoming a God. Until you can do this, you won't be able to enter the World of the Gods. What will you do then? Your thoughts will be exposed to every God you've ever met. You know of Satorare, right? ...Satorare brings back some memories. I loved it so much, I bought the DVD."

"Sorry. I wasn't born back then."

"I see."

Orizu quickly goes off on a tangent.

He was apparently into movies and drama's, and had even gone out of their way to come down to the living floor to buy DVD's.

It would appear that there isn't much for entertainment on the Divine Floor.

"To start, don't ever let the other person know what you're thinking about in your heart. That is the most basic, rudimentary thing to know about."

"So what you mean by creating a mind gap?"

"Starting off, anyone can do mind reading, or be able to read other's minds. Let's take a clear example. Say that there's a cake, and there's a child that leans into it and looks right at it. What is that child thinking about?"

"They want to eat the cake."

It was a rather simple analogy.

It wasn't mind reading so much as it was a reasonable deduction.

"Correct. That the mind reading that humans can do in terms of deductions by reasoning out the situation behaviorally. That too is a form of mind-reading, yes? But the way a God performs their insightful technique, their mind break, is quite different."

"So what's this story about a mind gap?"

"Hush, and listen to what I have to say. It makes complete sense. Humans. Animals. Even Gods use their brains for thinking, so what is the phenomenon behind that thinking?"

"It's the information exchange between brain cells connected by synapes, right?"

"And what is that information ultimately come to?"

"An action potential."

"Correct. Regardless if it was an electrical signal being transmitted to a nerve cell, one's thought processes are ultimately a combination of 0's and 1's. These interactions activate different parts of the brain in a complex manner. A God performing the Mind Break technique enables them to read a person's action potential and decipher which areas in the brain is exchanging information from which cells, while Mind Gap is a technique that prevents this from being read. It is that of offense and defense."

Primal Beast Thoth

A Primal Beast in charge of information. They hold the power to collect information by means of possessing of books and other things, able to reproduce and materialize them.

During the Sky War, she would sneak into enemy territories and steal enemy strategies or recreate the disasters that once befall upon the land to launch surprise attacks on the Sky People.

In order to conceal her status as a Primal Beast and to prevent the information she had stolen from others, her abilities were limited so that only a select few could communicate with her.

The Sky People, who were unaware of this took her in, thinking she was a poor girl who couldn't speak and took her to their camp.

Eventually, the Sky War ended and Thoth, left behind in the World in the Sky, wandered aimlessly from island to island.

Even after hundreds of years have passed, she could never forget the memories of the Sky People who treated her with kindness without having known she was but a mere shell. Out of a sense of atonement and loneliness, she desires for someone to know of her.

Then, upon chance, she came across a book and was drawn to it as though she were possessed by it.

Though it caused an unusual commotion, the Sky People came to forgive her and became her Guardian, where Thoth now lives her days with a lovely smile on her face.

Reality Distortion Field

The effects emitted from a "Reality Distortion Field" as the source causes changes to occur in the properties of space-time. When affected by a Reality Distortion Field, the laws of physics in space-time undergo bizarre changes, causing supernatural phenomena to occur. For instance, parallel worlds and time slips are such examples of this phenomenon.

Hello, I'd like to confirm the following translations:

Translation in question

Essentially: first is the raw page of the novel, then the tidbit of interest, followed by a translation provided by a friend and then followed by two fan translations made by two big FFVII related sites. I'd like to know how is the word "concept/notion/idea" being used there, if at all.
