Thanks so much; this gave me a better understanding. When I was reading with the official translation, I barely understood what they were talking about. I guess it was bad and some stuff was missingThey are the same thing (From the full scan, since part of the text is missing)
我は正に胡蝶 ーーー 邯鄲の夢の中に在り一炊の夢に過ぎない存なき夢幻泡影の如し
I'm undoubtedly a butterfly... Existing within the Dream of Handan, nothing more than an empty dream, like a dream, illusion, bubble, or shadow that doesn't exist.
"Dream of Handan" (邯鄲の夢) seems to be talking about an old Chinese play about a person who sleeps and thinks to have lived an entire life when it was actually just a dream
"夢幻泡影" is a common idiom from Chinese and It's made of kanjis for dream, illusion, bubble, and shadow. it's basically supposed to talk about the way in which reality is a temporary illusion, so it mentions various terms like that, which is understood thanks to "存なき" (Kanji for existing, "存", with the suffix for a negative form "なき", so it means non-existing, that which does not exist).
Unsure of an easy way of translating that keeps all the nuance, but I guess this explanation makes it clear for you. I guess "Non-existing dream bubble" could work.
So:
I'm undoubtedly a butterfly... Existing within the Dream of Handan, nothing more than an empty dream, like a non-existing dream bubble.
I think I get it, Handan's dream is about wealth and splendor, so instead of calling it by name, they described the dream since most English speaking audience wouldn't get the reference. Thanks so much; this gave me a better understanding. When I was reading with the official translation, I barely understood what they were talking about. I guess it was bad and some were missing

The Chinese stuff— it makes sense some suff in Trinity Seven are based on some Chinese concepts.

Gonna assume it's the line at the bottom to read:

A Star Crystal Beast who can control information. They have the power to reproduce and materialize information they collected through the possession of books and the like.

I know the favor I'm going to ask is not so common here, but I didn't know where else to go. So, can someone please confirm if the subtitles of the episode coincide with what Binah is explaining about the Multiverse? I'm looking to know specifically if she really said the phrase "The worlds that surround us are infinite". Thanks!
Thank you so much! So, it is fine if it is used as proof that the Strike World has "infinite worlds", right?Yes, it's accurate. She said there are infinite/countless worlds surrounding them outside the dimension they live in.
Well...she said 無数 (musu)=countless/immeasurable but infinite is 無限 (mugen)Thank you so much! So, it is fine if it is used as proof that the Strike World has "infinite worlds", right?
Thank you so much for your effort and time invested in helping me. I appreciate it a lot!Well...she said 無数 (musu)=countless/immeasurable but infinite is 無限 (mugen)
I should've been more precise because obviously this has impact on the scale, since she used the word countless rather than infinite it means the number of worlds is finite.
I just rewatched it and she said "私たちを取り巻く世界は無限です。" This time she uses the word 無限 for infinite, so yes you can use it as proof.
Thank you so much for such an in-depth breakdown! I really appreciate it!(私の術式が無下にされる!! Watashi no Jutsushiki ga muge ni sareru!!)

Bump! Can someone translate or check the translation for these entries? I am sure it'd take a lot of time to translate it from scratch. So, there's already translated version but we need validation from translation members. It's okay if you just check the english translation and fix some parts if there's anything wrong with that. It'd be greatly appriciated.
You can read both english and chinese here
or you can check chinese for 5 entries here

I need a translation of this scan
Hello, I'd like to confirm the following translations:
Translation in question
Essentially: first is the raw page of the novel, then the tidbit of interest, followed by a translation provided by a friend and then followed by two fan translations made by two big FFVII related sites. I'd like to know how is the word "concept/notion/idea" being used there, if at all.
魔晄の世界―ライフストリームの中では、地上世界とは時間も距離も、その概念からして違うのだとエアリスは知った。
Aerith learned that inside the Lifestream, the world of Mako, time and distance, those concepts, differed from the ones in the terrestrial world.
