In the recent SpongeBob episode "The Checkup", Mr. Krabs broke parts of his shell just by pinching himself. Should this count? It's strange how his "Iron body" suddenly became so frail.

He used to be known as Armor-abs Krabs. If anything, he's commonly shown to be durable on the torso but not on the limbs (I remember instances of him breaking his legs when it falls in a hole, or when his arms are pulled off).

Haven't seen the latest episode though.

This would just fall under the "10-C" part of the Variable Tier.

Also in the latest episode, when Mr. Krabs had his body frozen, SpongeBob broke the ice with a mallet and it destroyed his entire shell.

It's not a big problem at all. Spongebob isn't a VS debating or Power Indexing verse in the absolute slightest. And consistency is practically null. It basically does what it wants to tell a funny joke at that time.

Most showings are varying degrees of 10-C though. With some 9-B higher ends. Hence the variable. There's nothing wrong with the current rating.

If he suppose to be Armor-abs Krabs, then the body shouldn't break.

iirc Mr. Krabs' shell tends to become weaker and more brittle when he is about to shed it, which he then grows back some time later at its peak durability

Cartoon inconsistency at its finest. Spongebob is having enough of a hard time lifting stuffed toys on a stick for a barbell.
