I fail to see why not, it's a novelization of the movie which is on the official novel timeline and it hasn't been retconned by the anime yet

I mean, I don't see what the anime has to do with it since there is a movie. Does it contradict the movie in anyway?

It's the reason why the Boruto movie and novel aren't allowed to be used. They've been retconned by the anime and manga, making them unusable. The movie and novel for The Last haven't been retconned by them, which is why we still use The Last's movie feats.
Not that I've seen. If it has, very minor, and it adds some scenes.
