Yes, Seph's type 8 should be reliant on Jenova Cells. As long as there are Jenova Cells, he can always just build another body and resurrect himself. He also has mid-godly regen. Goku's toast, this is a stomp.

would his Post-Lifestream Fall key be more fair? Or would the outcome be the same?
 
Yeah, his mid godly takes ages to kick in, also, goku has a good AP advantage and has a potential wincon in BFR or punching sephy really hard, but only if he can do anything before sephiroth haxs him
 
Which version of Toei Goku is used here? And what tier are they? This is important to determine the outcome of the battle

Advent Children Sephiroth isn’t Galaxy Level+ but it is said on the profile that he fought with Cloud, who got much stronger from the battle 2 years prior, which they were Galaxy Level before Advent Children. So I would say pretty high, but not high enough to reach Galaxy Level+
 
If so then Goku would one shot him. And while this won't kill him due to Type 8 and mid-godly, apperantly this isn't combat applicable so he still loses
 
Voting Inconclusive Since either sephiroth hax him fast or goku would AP shots him its very dependable on the Situation they are facing in so imo it can go either way
