Destiny nodded as she quickly turned away from Boris and began to walk down to street. She saw the mess of papers that she had caused and snapped her fingers. Suddenly, the torn newspapers would all come back together and set themselves into the newspaper stand once more. She watched as people weren't looking around in a panic once again, and then glanced at Boris. "Do you have any money?"
As i finally arive in New York, i enter spirit form and go into the biggest bank in the city. I easily bypass all the systems and enter in the back of the bank, where many objects of immense value are. I put most of it in my hammerspace and exit the room.
As i go into the main hall, i manipulate the minds of everyone inside and make them enter a bad drug trip.
As i leave, they forget my entire existence.
I then go towards the biggest police station and mind control everyone in there so i can get acess to some big name criminals and some black market information.
I exit after gaining info and start devising my plan, as my minions have found a perfect place to have as a HQ: Antartica.
"Oh, I suppose that works," she muttered as she grabbed the dollar bill and offered it to the man working at the newspaper stand, who was looking terribly confused. She held up one finger and the man seemed to understand. He grabbed the dollar bill and gave her the newspaper. She then walked back to Boris and stared at the newspaper intently, not bothering to take her change.
"Oh, it's in Arabic. That makes things more difficult..."
[Translated from incomprehensible Shoggoth/Polyp thoughts:]
I lumber over to the shapes, who I know see are people. One of them is holding a knife at the other. As I get closer out of the darkness of what I now see is a thin alleyway, the victim notices me and freezes. The mugger starts waving the knife and I realise I can't really hear them very well either - I'll need to grow some ears. The victim points slowly and the mugger turns his head, sees me, and drops the knife. We both stand there looking at each other for a moment. I realise I should introduce myself. I grow a mouth and attempt to say hello. Nothing happens, and I realise I need a voice box and lungs as well, so I grow them too.
(The mugger and victim are watching in silent horror as raw organs seem to simply appear out of the vaguely transparent greyish blob)
Satisfied with the speaking implements I turn all my eyes, which I realise have been wandering slightly, on the people and say "Hi guys. I was wondering if you could tell me where I am?"
[Untranslated from incomprehensible Shoggoth/Polyp speak:]
"It's okay, I think I can understand it..." she muttered as she stared at the newspaper. Her mind seemingly began to decipher the information in front of her. Words became something much more understandable, and she nodded. "Huh, seems like we're in Lebanon. Good to know. Guess that means we're closer to...a war zone? Yeah, that sounds right."
She ripped off a piece of the newspaper and turned it into a dollar bill. She handed it to Boris. "Here's your money. Thank you!" Putting on that sickeningly sweet tone of voice again
After seeing the weapons the drunk man had Eden realized that he only had his fists at this moment.
Well I guess a weapon would be useful
He starts looking for somewhere he could find a bow.
He manages to find a small hunting goods shop.
Exiting spirit mode he enters the shop grabs a bow and a lot of arrows and alters his own time to run out, he jumps onto a nearby roof, stores his bow and arrows in hammerspace and enters spirit mode and goes back to watching the others
"I mean...I can protect you!" The girl said with a smile that made her want to beat her face in. "I have powers! We both have powers, we can protect each other!"
She giggles as she forced the newspaper to take the form of a helmet. She forced it to be just as thick as something a swat officer would wear. Folds over folds would help increase the amount of abuse it could take. She handed it to Boris and smiled once more. "Here!"
"I dunno much of my powers. Apparently, I can teleport, I can swim on air, and I'm drunk....okay, that last one ain't a powah, but YOU'RE NOT DRUNK!" He put the helmet on over his hat.
"Yeah, you can't do that! Killing people is bad!" I mean it's a better option than letting them wallow in their own filth but all the same... "So...how do we find out what else we can do? It's all really weird, isn't it...?"
As I make my way through the city streets, growing more eyes from my body at different angles to see, cars swerve, people start screaming, and there's just general commotion.
"Oh I think I might be in New York!" I say. People scream more at the incomprehensible alien language.
A car swerved out of my way towards some pedestrians on the footpath. Quick as a flash I bounce over and shield the pedestrians, letting the car hit me instead.
Seeing as I'm only 9-C, the car splotches through my body, but I managed to slow it down enough that the people cans stumble out of the way before the car hits them. They start running too.
I look at the hole in my body where the car hit me.
"Uhhh. Ow?"
I don't have any pain receptors it seems. Maybe I won't grow those yet.
It is at this point, looking around my body to see the damage that I realise the car didn't really hurt me all that much, that I really am some kind of horrible half-corporeal blob, and that I actually have wings. Lots of them
"Huh, neat!"
I extricate myself from the car, start pushing my blobbiness back together, then start flapping the wings.
"Wee!!!" I say as I shoot up into the sky. Steering with these things is a little hard considering how many there are but I'll work it out. Soon I'm standing on top of a very tall building.
"Yep I can see the Empire State Building from here. And the Statue of Liberty! I've always wanted to go there.
I start flapping the wings and flying towards the statue.
"Uh...sir, you're going to be okay," Destiny said with a frown as she hopped over to Mister Boris and began to shush him to try and calm him down. "Everything's going to be okay, mister! You'll be fine! I mean, we're in a new place now. This is a new beginning for us!"
After a long while of charging power, Akuma releases it. What can be seen is a portal to a newly created small-building sized dimension. "H-hah, I did it! I actually did it!" She yells out in happiness, she then enters and lays down in exhaustion.
"You're not dead right now though! You're alive, you're in a new place. No one's going to kill you. We'll be your friends!" Blatant lies but she hid them behind sweeet smiles and contagious optimism. There was a sparkle that she forced into her eyes as she tried to win over this guy's heart.
Boris then covered his face, trying to hide his tears. "It's nothing, just...go, go away! I'm a murderer! Nobody wants to be around me! I kill too much, I drink too much and apparently, nobody cares!"
"Uh...okay." Destiny blinked and realized that this was far too much effort for her to care about. She didn't need the favor of this powered individual, and instead she went to Koth and smiled. "So, how do we figure out what we can do?"
He then sobbed, but it hit him. "Well....actually, you're right. Damn it, I'm always wrong! How could a little girl out-do my depression, for God's sake!" He then got up, smiling. "Okay, I think I'm good now."
"It seems like instinct to me, like you can just sort of tell. I just tried what I felt like I could do and lo and behold, I did it. It's hard to explain."
Getting on top of a big building, i look around the city to see anymore points of interest before absorbing more negative emotions, and i see, on the top of the Statue of Liberty, a man and a almost transparent nightmare fuel blob flying towards him.
Although it is really far away, there is a scary lack of negativity from the blob.
I decide to knee and take out my bow, in case there's any need to attack or defend.
"Hmm..." Destiny closed her eyes and focused on something that she wanted to do. Within the blink of an eye, she disappeared, and there was a yelp heard nearby. Destiny was on a nearby roof. Her eyes widened as she stared down at where she once was. "I figured out something new!"
"I think I get it now on how t' diiie! Haul it on, boys! I'm goin' in hooot!" He shouted at his....pocket, as he grabbed many bottles of beer and guzzles them all down.
"Oh my god this is so fun! I love flying, weeee - Wait there's someone already on top of the statue!"
I land with a heavy thud and shapeshift the wings away. They melt into a protoplasmix mass and are sucked back into me.
I try to shape my body into a more humanoid form. I think I get it right though the mouth is a little low, and the eyes are a little close. Also I'm still a vaguely see through protoplasmic mass, just one that looks humanoid.
I squint at this guy. Looks like a ******* edgelord with that scarf and haircut and jacket, but I ain't judging (I'm judging).
Remembering how my previous attempt at communication went down, I just try to look non-threatening and wait for him to say something.
"What? That by closing your eyes you can imagine a better world? Because with your strength you can make it a reality!" I say with a big smile and a raised thumb.
