Gilver is the best person to go through all that, but he's occupied with real life stuff at the moment. I can give an outline, but Gilver's response will overwrite mine. If you'd be so kind as to wait for him, I'd deeply appreciate it.Allow me to go through this step by step.
Can someone summarize the root entities/objects that are confirmed to have the absorption ability?
If so, are there any conditions or limitations to this absorption ability?
The Saviour is the being which absorbs Nero and Kyrie. It shows that it can freely move Kyrie in and out, and Nero is absorbed rapidly into its hand. This is strange since at later points he and Dante remain in prolonged physical contact with it while it's fighting them, and yet it seems unable to absorb them even though doing so would have saved its life. So the severely weakened Nero, whose power was stated and shown to be depleted to nothing right after being stabbed with Yamato (arm stops glowing, instant exhaustion, stated to have no power left to resist), was absorbed rapidly, and yet at all other times it seems unable to absorb either him or Dante.
The other entity that has an absorbing ability is the Beastheads which absorbs beings into itself. There isn't really shown to be any significant limits or conditions except contact in the Saviour's case.
Finally the demon world can effectively turn people into part of its landscape, but Gilver and others have more book info than me on that.
