Chandler Riggs as Superman is still so goddamn random....Wonder why they didn't just use younger DC heroes instead

Cassandra Cain, Conner Kent, Cassie Sandsmark, Wallace West, Jaime Reyes
I had the same thought honestly. The whole de-aged heroes thing is such a contrived plot that doesn't really seem to have any purpose outside of have the characters to be around the age of the cast (which isn't really necessary stuff Justice League/Power Rangers shows the JL can team up with teen heroes just fine, but whatever.)
If I had to guess why they did it if I'd say it's probably just do to brand recognition, like them teaming up with the Teen Titans or Young Justice would make sense but these kinds of discussions are made by stuffy old business men who only care about make the most amount of money as possible, not whether an idea actually works.

They werent the justice league in the comic originally, Clark used to be a slave worker for the Schnee Dust Company, Batman was a rich kid in Atlas, Diana lived on a secluded island, Barry was just a faunus living in Vale, Arthur lived at the bottom of the ocean, and Victor locked himself in his lab for years because he failed to go to space and exploded. Jessica Cruz was the only one who came from another universe and they only became the JL at the end of the comic before they left Remnant to travel the multiverse
No offense but that is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

EXACTLY, they could have easily just had it be another team entirely and just move it up in the timeline and it would have been easy to argue this as canon

The interaction potential between people like Yang and Beast Boy, Weiss and Starfire, or Raven and Blake are so good but they just went with a full AU remake of the comic

I just saw the trailer and I just got to ask: What is the connection between RWBY and DC Comics?
No like seriously, why DC x RWBY of all possible franchises you could crossover? And I know that Warner Bros owns both DC and Rooster Teeth, but I just don't see it as a reason to have two unrelated series get together. And as others have said so far, it's really a hall mark of quality when you just deage a couple superheroes as opposed to using pre existing teenage heroes

I mean, why do DC and Mortal Kombat have so many crossovers?

They should crossover next

Yes, and whats worse, for some reason the movie changed him from having the enhanced senses of a bat to just having bat wings
Wait what, they decided to make Batman a bat themed Faunus but the movie isn't going to give him any bat like abilities when he has it in the comic? I got to admit, that is equal amounts of stupid and genius at the same time

Isn’t the whole appeal of Batman that he’s just a normal person with no powers in the first place as well?
Yeah and he makes up for it with his intelligence, skill, gadgets and sheer will power! The fact they're taking that aspect, which I would argue would fit well into the world of RWBY, and removing it for something like this is so random and doesn't add anything at all

I mean... Phineas and Ferb did a crossover with the ******* Avengers...

FWIW, I have no idea who any of those guys are. That's probably why they're going the de-age route...

But hey, you don't see Vixen very often in these things.

Bruce being a Faunus is just wierd. Like one of his main things is that he's at the top of the social ladder so like why make him a Faunus a race who are often treated as lower class citizens.
Bruce is animal themed hero.

Faunus are half animals or whatnot.

HEY WAIT A MINUTE

This crossover talk reminds me that the Batman/TMNT crossover was done better as the film rather than the original comic.

You talking about warner bros, that name itself is self explanatory

I was not expecting a Them's Fightin' Herds commission at all, but I am pleasantly surprised!

Also check out the OST for Them's Fightin' Herds, folks. It has a dynamic music system that changes the instruments in a song depending on which character is winning the round. The music goes hard.

Harley Quinn is probably more popular over all but I'd argue that her character isn't popular but more the idea, like people like to dress up as her and pretend to be a mentally ill thot for Halloween but I'd ague these kinds of people don't really care about Harley Quinn the character.

There's also Wonder Woman which bring up the Wonder Woman Conundrum that despite supposedly being part of DC's Trinity most people can't really tell you about her character aside from her basic origin and her being "iconic".

Midway, the company owning MK at that time, was gonna go bankrupt, they tried the crossover in order to get Warner Bros attention, which they did, they got the rights to it and made netherrealm studios saving MK from being a dead franchise

As to why they did guests of each other in their own games is simply because it sells, many fighting games started to entertain the idea of guests, which is cool overall, plus the mk vs dc game did decent enough then

I was thinking Wonder Woman was the most popular female DC character.

Raven is not a "popular" female DC character I think of off the top of my head.
