They have actually already canonically fought, in Army of Darkness vs The Re-Animator, if you dig Evil Dead you'll probably dig Re-Animator, has some spectacular gore effects and the comedy solid

I like it, I really do. Re-Animator is a legitimately fantastic movie, and seeing representation in Death Battle would be awesome. I still like Ash vs Guts better though, but just barely.

Still the movie is very clearly non canon based on outfits each character has on while having/doing stuff from later seasons (Blake being in Menagerie, Wiess being able to use summons and Yang's arm). Though if you want to talk about "crazy" crossover scaling you'd probably have a better time using blazblue scaling.

Oh its definitely an AU, even the designs and powers of the JL are completely different from the comic (The Comic had the JL be native to Remnant and have lived their their entire lives, the movie has them being pulled into Remnant from their original universe and turned into RWBY characters)

I mean if the JL getting isekaied doesn't inherently make it non-canon, if anything the idea of the JL being part of the RWBY universe in the first place but never interacting with them except for this one movie would make less sense.

They werent the justice league in the comic originally, Clark used to be a slave worker for the Schnee Dust Company, Batman was a rich kid in Atlas, Diana lived on a secluded island, Barry was just a faunus living in Vale, Arthur lived at the bottom of the ocean, and Victor locked himself in his lab for years because he failed to go to space and exploded. Jessica Cruz was the only one who came from another universe and they only became the JL at the end of the comic before they left Remnant to travel the multiverse
