Both are half-human heroes often dressed in purple. They have a human mother (Chichi and Arella) and an inhuman father (Goku and Trigon) who was considered to be a threat to the universe. They also have not the best relationship with their fathers (Goku put Gohan in situations he didn't want to be in, like fighting Cell, while Trigon never cared for Raven seeing her as a tool to rule the world). Both grow more powerful based on their emotions (Gohan, being half-saiyan, can increase his power when he's angry while Raven, being an empath, can increase her power with emotions). Both have the potential to become stronger than their fathers. Since they’re heroes who can lose control, they try to hold back their powers in order to make sure they don’t destroy everything around them. Both can use their life energy to fight (Gohan through Ki and Raven through her Soul Self). Both have a strong bond with someone green (Piccolo and Beast Boy). Both are members of a group of heroes who used to be rivals/enemies (The Z-Fighters and Teen Titans). Their ultimate forms cause them to emit a white aura and are the result of them reaching their full potential (Gohan's Ultimate Form and Raven's White Form). They have a specific form which caused them to lose control due to them releasing their negative emotions (Super Saiyan 2 and Demon Raven).

Many disliked this. Even more did not know why this matchup exists. I would rather have Jean Grey fight Rachel Roth.

How cursed is Magikarp (Pokémon) vs Great Coloured Carp (Sekiro) as a DBX? (Okay too what the hell as a Death Battle)

Gohan eating Mark has one more feature over Superboy eating Gohan: giving the Goku family line one real victory. As sweet as Gohan winning over Cell.

Gohan vs Superboy is actually a Goku vs Superman ripoff.

Even Gohan vs Mark can be debatable depending on which Spawn Mark scale from.

oh plz Spawn Scaling doesn't hold any ground relys on assuming Spawn the Evil Mark killed was remotely as strong as the real one and not thinking it was some weaker incarnation of him

Image Comics said that their crossovers with is basically like Akuma in tekken or Dante in SMT kinda deal

Though from G1 blog from previous DB apparently there is The Tick and Mean Supreme ones that are supposed to be canon, if that is the case
