In that fight we had three Planets and a Star destroyed and turn into a Black hole due to there clash but we probably they could've done something similar to Beerus vs Champa clash in the manga

Its less about needing cosmic stuff, more making sure fight animation is a good showcase for characters.
On cosmic note, it feels like Thanos vs Darkseid is getting more criticism.

At how much a potency of hax does Solidus Snake have? Like Raiden has durability negation sword which Solidus Snake may also have. A lot of resistance but to the level of what a casual alchemist can play around? Nah.
Solidus Snake is still faster so he either blitzes and slices before Bradley (?) does anything or Bradley outhaxes.

To point out btw, DB previously mentioned that they're would like to use more specific versions of the character in one of Archie Sonic vs Wally West DB cast, they are even specifically mentioned Kid Goku and prooved their interest by using hellbat Batman now. So if push this mu it could be actually work.
