I didn't create this match up as someone else did, well someone brought it to light:

Nu-13 vs Scharlachrot (Blazblue vs Arcana Heart)

Connections: Fighting game girls who were experimented on alongside their home games' white-haired and antisocial main protagonist (Ragna and Weiss respectively) who flip between one of two different personalities: one that's essentially emotionless and the other who's a total f**king psychopath, though deep down the torture of the experiments done on them left them both lonely and filled with despair. They also specialise in summoning weapons for long-ranged combat (swords and chains respectively).

The problem isn't Superman being too strong, it's that the writers sometimes make their characters stronger at the cost of good storytelling. Of course, it's rare, but it's getting more and more common in the modern day.

Edit: Obviously it's not just a DC comics problem, but DC is by far the most popular work of fiction that does this on a semi-common basis.
