Croc has some good ones, like when he smashed through sewer walls and broke a foundation pillar, but lack of scaling shots complicates things like that.
The Foundation is the one I’m thinking of (he completely smashed through thick concrete). But yeah I get what you mean
I'm assuming we don't scale Mutated Croc to street dudes, only base.
I’m not the Croc expert but Carioca could tell you
Nothing wrong with having more consistency
fair point; no idea if anyone like Bane has decent stuff (he has clones I guess)

Iirc in Batman/Superman (2011) Annual #2 Croc and Batman tanked an explosion too

If we're talking explosions, there's a lot of good ones, a few probably 8-C.
But I'm trying to lean away from explosions feats atm and calc more straightforward things that would be less subject to accidental inflation like smashing concrete or objects, as well as AP feats instead of dura feats. Not to say those feats don't matter, but if everything is an explosion feat and that's all we use it could end up weird.

I went through the Bane respect thread, a fuckton of 9-B feats, and maybe things that could be edging low 9-A. Nothing critical to calc though, unfortunately a lot of his impacts and smashes involve frag or v.frag instead of pulv or compression, it's that simple fact alone that makes a lot of his feats not worth calcing.
That steel door feat might be ok, it is thick and the dent is pretty large but it's probably only 9-B.

I'm more interested in the fact he beat Solomon Grundy, he should have some feats too, which in turn gives us more potential calc options to do.

Understandable. I think I will look for some more explosions and then move to craters.

I’m actually suggesting Croc smashing through the wall to get at Clark

True; sadly I can’t recall if he gets anything good circa City of Bane (his daughter could have good feats tho). I know he has good scaling for AP thanks to just being a menace but his LS feats are the main ones he gets

Grundy I’m not too familiar with, I know In Post-Crisis he varies heavily but I don’t think he has that in the current continuity

He is in Post-Flashpoint too, like in the beginning of Batman(2016) he was shown as superior to Gotham and Gotham Girl but later got smacked by Batman and Bane. He's vastly more consistent than in Post-Crisis though.

Damn
I guess there’s also Red Hood but I’m not sure what he has

I know he has good explosion feats but not sure what else

I also recall Bruce fighting Parademons but that might be controversial

In terms of 9-A, that looks almost certain. There's a good handful of feats in the respect threads and what not that are probably 9-A by some degree that just haven't been calced. Couple that with a billion random high end 9-B feats. 9-A I agree with atm unless someone whips out a bunch of hard anti-feat.

In other news.
bat1.png

Batman gets smashed into a structure.
bat2.png

And the structure is completely destroyed. Issue is we don't see the whole thing so we don't know the exact dimensions. So I was thinking, Pixel scale the thing's height and depth via the slam panel, and then for width, take the panel Batman is on his ass (pretending) and take the length of debris we see (so about panel width) and then just calc it as a cube?
It's a bit roundabout so I'm unsure if we wanna do that.
Doing this got me 0.014 tons, 9-A.
Edit:
Hp324kw.png

225px=188cm (He's like batman height from the looks of it).

29px=24.2311111111111111542cm.
hzoyoeY.png

323px = 372.6975661375661393827481481481481502cm.
21px = 24.2311111111111111542cm.

Treating it as a cube, 7560110cm3.

7560110 x 8 (basic frag of stone or something) = 60480880j, 0.014455277247 tons, 9-A.

Unsure if we wanna use that, it's a bit wonky and assumes the rubbles on the second panel accounts for the width of the structure.

Rebirth Wally West should be as strong and durable as Post-Crisis Wally West while not enhancing his speed, who's building level. This then scales to Batman via Reverse Flash.
Wally’s Building level stats (well, Grodd’s to get specific) are extremely iffy. Grodd’s feat of collapsing a building is more of a chain reaction than anything, and Amelia has calced it at 9-B.

Other Batfamily members have done this too
Hell I think Ra’s has too. No idea if Parademons are consistently street tier but it’s there as possible scaling
He survived the v.frag of this plane, seems worth calcing

hmm that seems decent but I think the one from the Death of the Family tie in is more useful. In general Nightwing prolly has much better feats since his RT doesn’t cover a lot of stuff

It's def better but calculating it seems like a pain

Yeah you're not gonna get an exact value. My best suggestion would be to find the closest analog for batman's boat we have irl, and just calc the destruction of that given if it exists irl it probably
Couldn't find one, so can we just use aluminium or steel?

In that case I will do a calc assuming the entire boat is made of steel, and another where I calculate the yield of the explosion.

Calc 1- Steel

First we need the volume of the boat, but it has a weird shape so finding an accurate volume is impossible. However, we could get a rough result. First we need Batman's arm length. Arm length is generally 44% of body height. Bats is 1.88 m, so (1.88 * .44)= 0.8272 m= 82.72 cm.

In the scan Batman's arm is 105.69 pixels long. 82.72/105.69=0.7826662882013435.

Now for the Submarine. Length=570.14 pixels. So 570.14*0.7826662882013435=446.229357555114cm

Width=250.81 pixels; 250.81*0.7826662882013435=196.30053174377898cm

Height=47.17 pixels; 47.17*0.7826662882013435= 36.918368814457374cm

Volume=446.229357555114*196.30053174377898*36.918368814457374= 3233866.7375977174cc

The explosion either fragmented or violently fragmented the boat. I will do both.

Frag- 208*3233866.7375977174= 672644281.4203253 Joules= 0.16076584163966 tons of TNT. 9-A+

V.frag- 568.5*3233866.7375977174= 1838453240.3243024 Joules= 0.43940087005839 tons of TNT. 8-C

RCO005_1475726402.jpg

Calc might be a bit wacky tho

Calc 2- Yield

Batman's leg is 22.34 pixels long. Legs are generally half of body height. Batman is 188cm so 188/2=94. 94/22.34=4.207699194270367. The explosion has a diameter of 189 pixels, so 189*4.207699194270367=795.2551477170994. Halve that and you get 397.6275738585497 centimetres which is the radius.

Applying the surface burst formula would get you 0.005052600901613905 tons of TNT. Barely into 9-A

BOAT.jpg

Using either calc, considering Batman no-sold this while heavily weakened and in his first year(or second, don't remember), I would say this supports 8-C.

You can ang-size Batman's face and the grenade to find the distance between them for inverse-square law.

You can ang-size Batman's face and the grenade to find the distance between them for inverse-square law.
Well I have never ang-sized before but:

Panel height=468.55 pixels
Object size(Batman's face)= 0.2 metres
Object height=121.07 pixels

0.2*468.55/[121.07*2*tan(70deg/2)]= 0.5527040130162223

Object size(grenade)=96.52 pixels. We know Batman's head is 121.07 pixels high, it's actual height would be about 0.23m. 0.23/121.07=0.0018997274304121585 and 0.0018997274304121585*96.52= 0.18336169158338153 metres

Object height cannot be clearly seen but the part we do see seems to be half of the total height. The part we see is 56.54 pixels. 56.54*2=113.08 pixels

0.18336169158338153*468.55/[113.08*2*tan(70deg/2)]=0.5425277682771016

0.5425277682771016-0.18336169158338153= 0.35916607669372m

Now to apply Inverse Square Law.
  • I = ( 0.005052600901613905) / (4π((0.35916607669372)^2))= 0.00311684000709119 tons of TNT. Batman's CA is 1.115.
  • 1.115*0.00311684000709119=0.003475276607906677 tons of TNT.

RCO006_147572640.jpg

Applying it to my first calc now.

Low End

0.16076584163966/1.6210652103151344= 0.0991729639354898. 0.0991729639354898*1.115=0.11057785478807113 tons of TNT

Small Building Level

High End

0.43940087005839/1.6210652103151344=0.27105687498713926. 0.27105687498713926*1.115=0.3022284156106603 tons of TNT

Still Building Level

So my first calc seems to still be fine(especially the High End, the Low End lost its plus) but my second one? Not so much...

So which calc do we use?

Well I have never ang-sized before but:

Panel height=468.55 pixels
Object size(Batman's face)= 0.2 metres
Object height=121.07 pixels

0.2*468.55/[121.07*2*tan(70deg/2)]= 0.5527040130162223

Object height cannot be clearly seen but the part we do see seems to be half of the total height. The part we see is 56.54 pixels. 56.54*2=113.08 pixels

0.18336169158338153*468.55/[113.08*2*tan(70deg/2)]=0.5425277682771016

0.5425277682771016-0.18336169158338153= 0.35916607669372m

Shortcut way to clear clutter:

  • Distance from point of view to object = object size * panel height in pixels/[object height in pixels*2*tan(70deg/2)]
Also, it looks like a Mk2 Grenade, you can pixel-scale the round thing's diameter in the center of the grenade (You can find it by pixel-scaling the entire 4.5 inch long grenade and then measuring the top part's diameter where the clip meets the shell). That'd give you more accurate results.

I can send what exactly to measure if you wish me to do so. I just need the issue name.

Wally’s Building level stats (well, Grodd’s to get specific) are extremely iffy. Grodd’s feat of collapsing a building is more of a chain reaction than anything, and Amelia has calced it at 9-B.
Has anyone evaluated these Amelia calcs tho
9-A and accepted (Also issue would be appreciated).
The Silencer (2018) Annual #1

btw clayface should get a varies tiering but that's a convo for another thread

Could this be calced?
From Sword of Azrael: Dark Knight of the Soul
It could but all that is is a door smash (9-B), a window smash (9-C at best) and a few meter drops. He doesn't actually tank the explosion it looks, and if he did, he'd have been so far away it wouldn't get anything.

So what should we currently do here?

I will assume the explosive metahuman was about the same place as Katana. In the scan, Katana is to the side of Deadshot, and not behind him, so I will assume he and Boomerang were the same distance from her.

First to calculate how far Deadshot was from POV. As for object(face) size, we can only see half of Deadshot's face. The full face is 0.2m but since we can only see half, 0.2/2=0.1m

Panel height= 315 pixels
Deadshot's face height= 119 pixels

  • Distance from point of view to object = 0.1* 315/[119*2*tan(70deg/2)]= 0.18901958912755443

Now for Katana. Object size= 0.1 metre, same as before. Panel height is also the same. Katana's face height=9.60 pixels.

  • Distance from point of view to object = 0.1 * 315/[9.60*2*tan(70deg/2)]= 2.3430553235603107

Distance between Deadshot and Katana= 2.3430553235603107-0.18901958912755443= 2.1540357344327563 metres

WEE.png

Now to calculate the power of the explosion. Fortunately, it left a crater behind so we have everything we need.

Door height(yellow line)=17.55 pixels. An average door has a height of 203.2cm, so 203.2/17.55=11.578347578347577

Length of the crater= 750 pixels. 750*11.578347578347577= 8683.760683760682cm

Width of the crater= 160 pixels. 160*11.578347578347577= 1852.5356125356122cm

As per the second panel, the depth seems to be about the same as Boomerang's arm. Arm length is 44% of total body height. Boomerang is 175cm tall, so 0.44*175=77cm

Volume= 77*1852.5356125356122*8683.760683760682= 1238697145.6400511cc.

Feat looks like v.frag of concrete, which has a value of 17. So 17*1238697145.6400511= 21057851475.88087 Joules= 5.0329472934706 tons of TNT.

Time for ISL.

I= 5.0329472934706/4π(2.1540357344327563*2.1540357344327563)=0.08631906169057525 tons of TNT.

Time for CA. Boomerang is 167 lbs and 1.75 metres. Dumping the values here, we get a surface area of 1.92 m^2. We need the cross-sectional area, which is usually 40-50% that of total surface area. I will take the sweet spot of 45%. 0.45 × 1.92=0.864.

0.864*0.08631906169057525=0.07457966930065701 tons of TNT

Small Building Level

Not 8-C as I hoped but adds consistency to 9-A and supports 8-C since Boomerang wasn't all that hurt.

Feats to calc? Or feats to calc that'd help 8-C? There's a good chunk of feats we could do and a few could be low 9-A, but in terms of high 9-A or low 8-C, I don't exactly see many left.

So ig once the current feats are evaluated and the few ones left calced, we can proceed to upgrade?

Alr well idrk what more to calc so we just need to current calcs to be evaluated.

@KLOL506 @Armorchompy Can you guys please evaluate these?
The bus in the scan is 315 pixels. Average buses are 12m long, so 12/315=0.0380952380952381. The explosion is 482 pixels long, 482*0.0380952380952381=18.361904761904764. 18.361904761904764/2=9.180952380952382 which is the radius.
W = 9.180952380952382^3*((27136*1.37895+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2= 0.062194032999154616 tons of TNT.

Batman was completely unaffected by this attack as seen in the next page.
Batman's head is 86.35 pixels high, the average head is 23cm high. So 23/86.35=0.2663578459756804. The part of the steel thing Bane broke is 142.40 pixels high, so 142.40*0.2663578459756804=37.92935726693689cm; Length=263.19 pixels, so 263.19*0.2663578459756804=70.10272148233932cm; Width=93.20 pixels, so 93.20*0.2663578459756804=24.824551244933414cm.

Volume= 24.824551244933414*70.10272148233932*37.92935726693689= 66007.26953991139cc. Bane either fragmented or violently fragmented the steel thing. I will do both.
