D&D Adventurer WIP Blog Pt. III

Is the page still going to be one Adventurer or one for each Major Class like it was previously decided?

Currently no. We're just doing some general in-universe profiles for scaling purposes and fun. After that we'll collect all the releveant class information and make the Composite X (Fighter, Cleric, Psion, Wizard, Ranger, etc) profiles.

Found the write-up to a super old mini-module written by Gygax for low-levels, the Caves of Chaos. Probably gonna work on that if any notable characters are present. Would be nice to have a relevant 9-B character.

EDIT: Literally no named characters. Gonna move on to the Keep on the Borderlands.

Demogorgan
According to this (Darkmon cns found it in the 5e Monster Manual), Demon Lords have Fusionism.

Yeah, that's not too surprising. Especially for Demogorgon.

Also, according to the 5e MM, hydras exist because Tiamat murdered a rival goddess at the dawn of time and covered the multiverse in her blood, with every drop of blood becoming a hydra.

So more Multiversal+ range confirmation, which is neat.

alright **** it

Mad Hermit from Keep on the Borderlands

let's go

also good touch Azzy

So like, back to previous. How do others feel about the Phane's speed rating. Or are we just chalking it up to time hax

Posted both of them. So that's all the Abominations I felt were notable.

We can chock it up to timehax for now and change it later if we ever find more elaboration on the creature.

The null-time field giveth and taketh away. Actually I'll start working on Demogorgon if no one else is working on him.

literally blind

Yeah granting a weapon more power is Power Bestowal.

?

What happened to the High 7-C calc?

I don't think it will stay, but why is the Earthshaker as fast as a normal human?

Most of all because, like you said the Profile, he'd scale to the same Adventurers who can fight Dragons, and if the Earthshaker were regular Human speed, they'd get blitzed.

Coz using adventurer speed is calc stacking

While the calc was good the in-universe information contradictd it. The Earthshaker has a stated speed of 12 MPH and weighs 500,000 tons which is an 8-C feat so I went with the next best thing.

I don't think it will stay, but why is the Earthshaker as fast as a normal human?

Its canon movement speed is only 12 MPH. It can swing its arms faster, but by how much I don't know. So for now I just went with it tagging horses at full gallop for combat speed.

Oof, Strahd is one of the more popular villains in DnD. He has two or three ADnD modules and a novel as a warning.

Actually he has two novels not one it seems. But I don't know how canon they are.

Not gonna include novels if they're questionable, but he's got a 1e module, a 2e module, 3.5e module, and 5e module. 2e is probably the strongest of them. Working my way through them as we speak.

Just interested not saying it should be removed, but where does Text Manipulation come from or is it refering to LITERAL text manipulation, as in manipulating the words on a piece of paper?

Probably talking about Wizard spells like erase or whatever, that allows them to remove magical glyphs and texts

Actually comes frok a couple but the most relevant is probably 2nd edition's Symbol. Text Manip is very common and not at all haxy in D&D.

Figured I'd point this out here.

The fan art in Vecna's gallery of his ascension is actually Vecna post-ascension in his fight against Vox Machina during the finale of Critical Role Campaign 1. The one holding the Sword of Kas is Grog, and Vecna is having one of the Prime Trammels stuck into his eye instead of losing it. I was just wondering if we should remove the image since it's technically fan art of something outside of the normal D&D canon, or just replace the caption with "Fan art of Vecna battling against Vox Machina" or something.

Because ****, dude, it's really good fan art.

I think just labeling it right would be fine, fanart in D&D is often super well made and stuff. Would be a shame to lose access to a piece of it since it's from a fan campaign.

Yeah it should be noted as fan art and probably link to the artist if we keep it.
