Kaitlyn steps back, immediately getting her guard up.

"What the f-" She cut herself off before turning to him, "Where did you get something like that?"
 
At the back on an alley, a fight went out, which was over in a short time since it started as well and those who bet on the person that got knocked out now, lost their money quickly

"A deal is a deal aint it boys? Now i will take these...and go on my way thank you....better luck next time....as if"

Said the last line in a low voice when she was out of there already, going somewhere to get a nice meal to herself, this lady was very tomboyish in looks, but also had obvious ears and tail of a wolf to herself, most just take them as fake, although they were indeed real and part of her body

The boys would obviously run away and curse her.

"So much for a tail and ears, you monster!"

"Yeah! You dang monster! Gross!

But along the way of said lady, she would see a lady— clearly with a tail far different and far longer than hers— being pushed around. Listening carefully, she could hear this:

"The f*ck you want, monster?!" pushed the guy.

"P-please. I was just making my wa-" said the older lady, clearly audible from her slurry and slow tone.

"Making your way, huh!? You were scratching my Porsche AND my Bugatti with that— eurghhh- that, motherf*cking tail of yours!" as if vomiting, the rich man would slap her face and cause her to fall down on her knees.

"S-sir, I'm sorry..." raising her hands in surrender.

"Say that to your other companions when I call the police...." starting to dial the number.

Tom was bored at home, he decided to go look for the others, although he didn't know where they were, he was also bored just using his phone to give them a call, so he decided to walk for a while, he wondered what he could do after that, maybe renting a movie or something like that, his thoughts were interrupted when he heard voices. Curious, he approached to see what was happening and what he saw made his blood boil. He walked towards them, while he lightly closed his hand to summon something small, an insect with the ability to give Alzheimer's and render the target unconscious when it bite its target, although the effect is not permanet

"Something happens?" he said as he asked the man while touching him, his look seems confused but it masked anger.

Upon seeing the scene, she gets to the rich man and grabs him on the shoulder

"Yo buddy, think you are tough picking up on others unable to defend themselves, walk it off....bet you are rich enough to pay repair for a tiny wimy scratch"

Says to him

"Hey! W-who the f*ck are you?!" due to Tom's ability, the man was confused, and upon seeing the car that the tomboy mentioned.

"Was it you? Was this both your doing?! Ahhh, so you're one of those people, huh!? Motherf*cking superpowers!" quickly dialing the police again, and this time... the man ran.

"There's a bunch of weirdoes right now! I'm at the usual spot!" causing some cars to approach and surround the area, with people bearing guns surrounding them.

Gave them a warning, not looking too bothered by the situation

"Hands up, you three! Or we will shoot!" as if they're the police, their guns pointed the lasers at which they would be targeted at the arms, shoulders, back, and at the head.

"We will count to three!" said the man from the back, "One!"

Informs Tom and the lady, as she suddenly generates light in her fist which glows so bright it will blind those around, followed by her sprinting at most of the gunmen rapidly, kicking and punching them hard enough to ko them off

"Fire!" shouts the man, as soon as they see the light. Though some of the men were taken out by the girl, but the bullets would still be fired from rows upon rows of armed men.

Not until...

"..."



As bullets sliced through the air, and the tailed woman making her assault, suddenly a halt of time happened. Without any moment, the chaotic dance of deadly projectiles froze in mid-flight, suspended in an eerie stillness. Surrounded by the deafening silence of halted time, the old lady that was on the ground became a blur.

Though it is half a second, that alone was more than enough.

First, she'd gently carry both the girl and Tom away, all the way behind the armed men— whom she quickly dissected their limbs, both arms and legs, in a quick circle. As if her arms were like a hot knife to their flesh being butter, she'd make her way through the air and gash through the rich man's car, a hole through his shoulder before stopping and walking away.

Resuming.

The damage didn't register just yet, not until...

"AHHHHHH!!!!" screams of pain were heard, as a massive explosion happened behind the old lady, whom dusted herself off of from the blood staining her hands.

"Well, we have one last room left, it's a little small, I hope it's comfortable for you Elide" Tom would say as he pointed at the back to the entrance to a small room, it had a closet, a bed and a chest of drawers next to a window facing outside.

She would hold her arm for a fist bump before going off to her room
 
Tom gave his fist bump before heading towards the kitchen, where he took a notebook from a shelf and began to write a couple of things.


"Well, I guess we can make this all work, since considering my luck I'm likely to eventually find more people with special abilities... this is starting to feel like the X-Men, except I'm not rich like Xavier nor do I have a useful power when the situation gets critical" he said to himself as he finished writing in the notebook, there were all the new members of his interesting family.

He also kept a couple of notes about paying some bills and seeing if he could get a raise, although his new brother's job helps a lot, between them it won't be enough eventually.

The grandmother smiled a bit and carefully patted both Elide and Tom's head, before walking towards the stovetop and trying to pick up the pot of beef stew.

"Tom, my boy, can you pick this up for me? And Elide, can you ready the plates and the spoons?"
