I was going to go with Ra'zac/Lethrblaka, but then I realized the combination of paralyzing breath and mind control might've been a bit much here.

Because it, Lefty, and the Trolloc are monstrous enough to be acceptable. The PanzerSoldat is still a zombie humanoid, and thus isn't acceptable.

That's just a bad matchup, which is bound to happen in brackets. Having one specific bad match up seems to be a bit of an unfair reason to not let Assefa in. He was perfectly fine in the last set of brackets, there's no real reason to exclude him as he fits within the qualifications.
