So I was wondering, if you survive being at the epicenter of a blast that creates a planetary quake that agitates the crust, where you just hop up off the ground backwards with no damage, what magnitude would that be?
Hello everyone!
I have been sitting on this site for many years and vsb has become a place for me where I can have a great discussion with other people and have an interesting time with calculations. I wanted to write this thread a few months ago, but I couldn't get my thoughts together because...
I was wondering, what would be the use of the Earthquake magnitude chart be for if it is felt across the world with scattered occasions of chasms opening up in the earth where there is lava even?
I'm about to head to work so I can't stay and argue all day
@Eseseso found a ridiculously consistent method to calculate the Total Seismic Energy of earthquakes above the magnitude of 10.5.
The blog speaks for itself...
Same as above.
These were the earthquakes
Translation
Intensifying the activity of demon in swarming earthquakes.
There were countless signs, including large and small.
Shouldn't Geodude and any other pokemon that can learn Magnitude have an upgrade for being strong enough to produce Magnitude 4-10 earthquakes and other pokemon can survive them?
I'm curious because characters in a game I'm playing can create localized earthquakes that can do this.
(note: it's refured to in game as an earthquake.)
I felt like this was necessary after multiple discussions regarding this calc https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:AguilaR101/FSN:_Heaven%27s_Feel_-_Angra_Maniyu%27s_Earthquake
This was discussed further on this thread https://vsbattles.com/vsbattles/3494469
Thoughts appreciated
If an earthquake spell destroys structures like this (the walls specifically), is it safe to assume it's magnitude 6-7 on the Richter scale?
And can I use the Radiated Waves from the Earthquake Power Chart to get a tier from it?
Cutting it short, earthquakes take place far away from the surface, to the point that-/+ 1 km is a small margin of error compared to depth. Well, their hypocenter does. Our basis for the magnitudes, the description for them, is the description of what it's like on the surface, not the epicenter...
Since I'm on a roll with the Grappler Baki revisions I think it's time to address one last thing that many people have already touched on.
Why in the world was Yujiro's earthquake feat lowballed to a magnitude 5.5? The number is absurd and goes against not only what is being said in the scene...
Recently I had been made aware of an interesting feat where Homer says Doh so loud that it causes the screen to shake, sends it a massive sounds wave, and cracks the ground at least past the Nuclear plants parking lot and likely entirely Springfield (full context shows it shaking past and into...
As my stuff was ignored in the CRT to downgrade, I´m here ot prevent the ship from totally leaving.
As we can see here, Exploud is capable of making earthquakes by making loud noises
Note how Loudred, the mid-stage form can obliterate buildings with its own noises, which to my recall it´s at...
So this is continued from this thread. https://vsbattles.com/vsbattles/2254957.
Basically this thread is made for us to finish and sort out all the Pokemon Revisions. The OP will be updated with relevant information so that the current state of the revision can easily be seen for all users...
Okay, so I spent a little while to write all this up, but here we go.
Introductio
The fully-evolved Pokémon were reupgraded to High 6-C while I was gone due to this thread, which argues that Pokémon's Magnitude move triggers real earthquakes and not just the radiated energy.
Allow me to...
So, I've been thinking this over for some time, and looking at the feats of Pokémon and the Earthquake Power Chart, I believe that earthquakes in the verse should have to do with seismic energy, not radiated waves.
Reason one why I think that is the nature of the moves Earthquake and Magnitude...
In this calc for Whitebeard's Earthquake, one of the answers say it is 13.26 or 1.17 petatons, what does that mean? is it 13.26 or 1.17 petatons? is there another step to this?
is it related to the logarithm?
Please help...
I'm...still unsure how to handle this.
By this point, we are all aware that Tyranitar walking can crumble mountains, and while we can figure out how powerful crumbling mountains is, I'm still unsure how to calculate the power of an earthquake that can do that.
And I also remembered this tidbit...
What magnitude would a quake need to be in order to shake up a mountain and cause debris to dislodge and fall off of said mountain?
