Good blog, that Avatar game feats people are gassing up being debunked was interessing. Seeing Uni Avatar being mentioned by people got me confused real fast.

Also, while advertised as such for the Story Mode, this game has no reason to fit the canon of the verse given its inconsistencies within the timeline. It is shown that the main characters kept their memories after the events of the game, which would mean Gaang already met Korra while they were kids, which makes no sense given Korra met elderly Toph in Book 4 of her series without either having any memories of each other.

Also thing is, it is officially stated to be canon so like excluding it just for that reason alone is nitpicking, its not like it changes things much given the scaling consistency

It's also pretty hard to find a match up for Eva that either wasn't a stomp for them or is very unfitting in terms of themes like Sentry vs Prime for instance. Eva is long-overdue for a death battle anyway.

It does beg the question though; would they just do a composite of Eva or would they go with a specific version?

Probably a composite to make it fairier. Apparently, the ANIMA novel has decent stuff although barely anyone has deeply researched it. At best, it would be a hax vs stats fight
 
I think energybending should still be a valid wincon for Aang given that in the movie he resisted having his soul overtaken by "the full power of the spirit world", which is a plane of existence.

Man I really don't get why they did this matchup. It wasn't particularly popular (the kickstarter immediately losing all steam when it was announced should be proof of that), the debate wasn't close whatsoever, and it just looks like they're feeding Aang to Traveler which is lame on its own but you also get the optics of having a beloved character getting killed by a gacha protag in a fight nobody asked for. I just can't buy the excuse they made about this not being a matchup pushed by a specific researcher because there really is no other reasonable explanation.

Aang VS The Traveler (Avatar: The Last Airbender VS Genshin Impact)- Liam says it seems to be the most popular Genshin MU right now, because “who doesn’t want Aang back?” Liam really wants to explore Genshin, and calls this MU cool.
