DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I found the connections for the matchup.
Connections:
  • Both are teens molded by systems that taught them their worth only came from power, and become isolated because of this. Bakugo grew up in a hero culture that praised strength and turned quirks into status, making him believe being the best was the only way to matter. Reze was raised by the Soviet Union as a weapon, trained from childhood to kill and never question why. They also initially thought lowly of the main characters, Deku and Denji, respectively, but in reality they wanted to connect with them.
  • Both also fight with explosive, fast-paced powers. Bakugo uses his Quirk to maneuver, control space, and hit with overwhelming force. Reze uses her bomb transformations to rush enemies and tear them apart up close.
  • Both literally use gear related to grenades. Bakugo with his Grenadier Bracers that store nitroglycerin-like sweat to fire massive blasts, and Reze with her choker and grenade-pin trigger that ignites her transformation or detonates her body.
  • Both were taken in by large institutions to be trained as specialized fighters. Bakugo going to U.A. to become a top Hero, Reze raised by the Soviets to be a hybrid supersoldier.
  • Both even die to central antagonists and return. Bakugo falls to Shigaraki’s attack and is revived, Reze is killed under Makima’s orders and brought back later.

Cell vs metal wasn't a stomp in my opinion
It is a stomp, Cell is not even Uni, while Metal Sonic is put at 2-C.

I'm glad they stated outright, even if it was obvious, that Sonic characters can't hang with Dragon Ball characters h2h. (Not even joking, Cell's programming is legitimately more impressive than the Emerl feat once you dive into it)

Kind of makes it peak when Metal sees his ass getting whipped and is like 'shit he's cooking lemme try some of that'.

Metal had aura I cannot deny

CellMetal is close... if you scrutinize modern VS logic. With more strictness, Cell's arguments are technically better. But within context of logic DB uses nowadays, its kinda a stomp, yeah. Super forms have too much arguments even without resorting to base Metal highballs.

Next ep being Reze vs Bakuyo

Speaking of, I don't follow Chainsaw, but I think I heard Reze having nukes or something? Yes, no?

???

How fast can an episode of Death Battle go into production? Because the whole Bakugō vs Reze thing was only a couple of months ago (Like, Late October)
Tbf they just use stats from shigaraki and deku, outside powers, Reze though got nothing as basis really, unless stats from Makima count at all

Crazy though how fast they do this after a cast

Any research and footage for Bakugo would have basically been already done, since they did 2 MHA episodes last year
So it's not too strange for this one to be produced quicker than usual
