They will probably be doing Revan vs Dark Urge since they expressed interest, or Luke vs Paul Atreides due to Dune 3 coming out

Supes makes even less thematic sense than SBP because at least SBP and Sentry at least share the theme of messed up Superman copies that share meta elements to them. Nevermind it's just not that interesting thematically beyond the surface level

They were, the only hiccup is DMC3 as a prequel. Everything else is supposed to be straightforward. Dante isn't consistent because the writers and designers aren't consistent with his character at all and changed their minds, on top of that he barely gets a character arc as the series progresses. Supplementary material comes after the fact and that's why they get retconned, ignored, or changed.

I agree. They scaled Buffy to way higher than they should, and some of the feat they used for scaling were misinterpreted or wrong.
You are supporting the point here. 3, 1, anime, 4, 2 literally didn't matter which is why they are able to just choose on a dime to completely shift the position of two games.
Because it didn't matter, because Dante's characterization is schizophrenic, because they were just making things up as they went. It still doesn't make "sense". One can't reconcile the fact that Dante in 3 & 1 is a completely different person than the anime, or how different he is from the anime, 2, & 4 without making up fan theories.
It only makes sense when looked at in release order. Because the release order ended up being the chronological order with the exception of the explicit prequel. Like you are playing the wrong games if you believe Dante was ever "Serious" in the beginning of DMC4 prior to seeing Nero. This is just a fan theory, he was aware of Nero all along. He's a goofball in DMC4 because DMC4 was made by the same people who made DMC3 where he is also a goofball and they saw no need to change it even though it took place several decades afterward.

1 was originally a RE4 prototype, which once again deals with Vergil dying for good by his hand, after losing him way back and Trish looking like his mother, deceiving him and "dies" as well, 2 took it further with his character after events had previously, 3 is him being a punk that goofs around learning of family importance and losing his only member left, what is fan theory here, it makes perfect sense all of that to justify a shift in personality, you think people cant change after tragic events at all...
1 and 2 werent meant to be that close to each other originally....also as it goes now, the anime is set in between them too

Devil May Cry 2 was never meant to be the "last one". I don't know where you got that from, but it was immediately green lit shortly after DMC1, but was given to a completely different team. Hell, it was greenlit in 2001, the same year DMC1 released.
I'm giving you multiple reasons, that's not "no reason". The reason you think what I typed is annoying is because you don't know the history of the franchise that well and you've either made things up about the games, or you've over indulged in "Fandom" who makes things up about the games.
The entire intro of DMC4 is goofy, even with Dante not taking it all that serious, flinging into cheers with a smirk on his face and "adios, kid."
Finally, Devil May Cry 4 does not take place anywhere near the same age as Dante was in DMC3. DMC3 Dante is a teenager, DMC4 Dante is around his 40s.

That has literally nothing to do with the in universe time that passes, 2 was the last game in the series chronologically, so at the time it was meant as much later taking place

If Dante staring at you on the screen with blood on his face is goofy you have a skewered definition of it, he got more playful after facing Nero over time and that adios kid happens only at the end of their fight after pulling rebellion from the chest
