If they buy this then it is likely that their speed will end up being relative or that Denji will be the faster party, similar to Makima's speed advantage in Death Battle's Gojo vs Makima.

Another big yikes that I am thinking about. Because if Yuji truly wanted to he could target the soul, so my best hope is that Denji can bridge that possibility with his superior speed and instinctive action.

Using the same energy doesn’t mean having the same biology. JJK literally shows multiple beings using cursed energy with completely different bodies. There’s no canon proof Simurians have identical human physiology, so you can’t assume poisons affect them the same way. If anything, different species means the interaction is unknown, not automatically identical.

They also said that Lady Doppler was actually shooting electricity in the visual of the calc. Despite the fact that her entire powerset is about creating weather phenomena. How are you gonna give Gru the speed advantage because of that?
 
For the episode, i gonna be frank it was quite a letdown, the analysis was fine for the most part even if i would have prefer if they brought the actual calculations and justification of them.

However the animated fight was just boring, neither Megamind or Gru did nothing trully interesting to me beside firing their weapons, even the clash between minions was nothing since was mostly from the perspective of Megamind's Minion, and even the music felt mediocre.

And then the result, it felt like it was trully unfair/biased even if it wasn't their intention, by lowballing Megamind much more compare to Gru. I'm not sure if i would call it worst than Kratos VS Asura, but its definitely the worst episode of 2026 (for now).

Especially when this was one of the episodes promised in the Save Death Battle Kickstarter, which was meant as a special thank-you gift to the community to support them, making this feel like a massive middle finger.

  • She-Ra vs Wonder Woman
  • Batgirl vs Spider-Gwen
  • Machoman vs Kool-aid man
  • Akuma vs Shao Kahn
  • Jason vs Michael
  • Kratos vs Asura
Is it better, same or worse than these?

WORSE IN EVERYTHING.
Kratos vs Asura was actually accurate in the win...everything else was a bit off.
 
Anyway really Chainsaw Man again? We already had Reze just a few months ago.

Like it was already annoying that we had 3 Dragon Ball matchups and 3 My Hero Academia matchups in this short period of time and now they also want to do the same with Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen (to a lesser degree).

This oversaturation mainstream Shonen series its starting to get really irritating, it was bad when it happen with Marvel and DC and its bad in this case too, have some ******* variety for once.

I am tired of the idea of having to be grateful for something we didn't like.
"Oh no you're ungrateful for the animation" mf that shit was ass.
This reads like "you will eat the slop and you will be GRATEFUL FOR IT" type of statement.
No, I didn't ask for the fight to be bad, I didn't ask for the match to lack crucial info and lack direction. Why should I be grateful for something that I didn't ask for? It's done for free for us? Brother if I was paying for this series and saw that I'd be LIVID, me being upset it was not creative is the mild reaction here. I am not gonna be greateful for something done bad. If you ask for Carbonara in a restaurant and they bring you dry spaghetti with a slice of bacon instead, you're not gonna be grateful, you're gonna ask for a refund.

LuzAnne as an example here would be fine in terms of actual reception on Twitter and Reddit but that’s about it. I don’t think anyone really cares about post-2010s network cartoons in the greater sphere outside those places. Shonenslop is much more recognizable in general and conducive to powerscaling discussions anyway.

Lets be real. LuzAnne missed the boat. Its absolutely just as late as Steven vs Star. It will do just as well as that one. Aka mediocre.
 
I still don't get how DB, having been given budget and time, rarely produce anything that at least feels as cools as this
