Righto, what are ya predicting for next time?
We had 2 sprite fights recently, so it is possible next time could be 3D. One of the 3D animators wasnt on CellMetal, so he could be free. MORO also only did like 1/3rd there and its been a while since full MORO ep.
AangTraveler is always a choice just to "get it out of the way". Tho I did hear Traveler is about to unlock his last stuff, so they could wait because "there is no hype" lol
I probably shouldnt consider that one "leak", but I still will because no actual, where supposedly MewtwoShadow2 is in production since last year. Morbidly curious if that leak is real.

I think they might be doing Light/Columbo either next or the after that. Relatively less resource dependant (will be either sprites or audio drama with a couple visuals) and it's both an episode we already know is happening and has been in the works for a while, what with one of Light's lines being shown a while ago. I feel it'll certainly be coming soon at least.
Aang/Traveler they're almost certainly holding off until after the Avatar movie officially comes out. They 100% know about the leaks, but it'd be incredibly unprofessional for them to include details from a leaked movie that's not officially out yet, and unbelievably stupid of them to do the episode knowing the movie's coming out in a few months and they'll be bombarded by swathes of people going "you didn't give Aang ___!". It's not like anything in the movie would change the outcome anyways, Traveler getting more juice in that time is just an extra bonus. This ep would be October at the very earliest, probably more likely November.
This is the first I've heard of a supposed "leaked" Mewtwo/Shadow #2. Any source on this? I don't remember the last time any DB episodes got leaked ahead of time since like... Season 7? Not counting Ghost Rider/Spawn being revealed early at MAGFest since that was an early reveal, not a leak.
It sounds very fake though, and I hope it is since ngl the MU sucks, doesn't need to be re-made, and I still don't get why so many people want a runback of this of all episodes. Yes the original episode sucked, but I hate the idea of doing a MU again just so the "correct" winner can get their win back. Goku/Superman, Mario/Sonic and Chief/Slayer had actual reasons to re-do their episodes, the former 2 are landmark matchups that transcend VS as a whole (and the former had a VERY controversial way of analyzing Superman), the latter featured 2 series that haven't been on the show since season 1 and let them do a 3D animation for 2 characters primarily known for being in 3D. Mewtwo/Shadow would just be another meh sprite fight with some wonky hand drawn segments, hell I'm pretty sure Mewtwo hasn't even gotten anything significant since the original Mewtwo/Shadow, especially since the show is not gonna give him Pokken or manga feats.
Deathwing/Ghidorah I think has been rumoured for a while but never actually confirmed outright. Would be interesting I guess?
Usagi/Madoka has also been rumoured for a while - the subreddits with their obsession that "more connections inherently = better MU" seem to really hate this, but it feels like an earlier era MU where the reason you match them up with each other is pretty self-evident. I'd prefer Sailor Moon/Saint Seiya myself, but highkey it's absolutely criminal that it's been 15 years and 12 seasons, and Usagi still hasn't had an episode. Yes I know copyright is a big contributor to that, but still.

While I dont want too many remakes, I will give M2Shadow this, its actually decent MU that never had a good fight, so it would immensely benefit from actual fight. Deadass dont think we need any other remakes in a long while after that. "But I wanna see my fav old fight in new style" is sorta respectable, but if it was good, Id be ok with not too many remakes.
Only other thing is that supposedly DB Team member (Sam?) replied to M2Shadow2 idea with eyes emoji in Reddit or Twitter. We'll see.

MU idea I made: Thragg vs Tarn
I prefer Thragg vs IDW Megatron, and I plan to do one for that, but I thought this was a pretty good alt for Thragg.
Main Theme: High ranking officers who took control of their empires after the fall of the leader they're obsessed with, who maintain a mask of regality to hide their brutal selves.
Theme Name: Regal Brutality
Connections:
Animation potential: I do think there's potential given the right choreography. Tarn primarily focuses on range while Thragg utilizes physical attacks and large shockwaves similar to other Viltrumites in combat. Given how well Megs vs Frieza was handled choreography wise, I do think there's somthing feasible here. Tarn's voice being used as a finisher could be quite cool in some moments though it is somewhat debatable if it would work on Thragg.
Story set up: Tarn would appear on a planet hunting down a Decepticon target on the planet Thraxa, in which he would encounter Thragg, its current emperor. Thragg sees Tarn as trespasser to his empire and orders to leave, but Tarn recognizes Thragg as a Viltrumite and decides he must be eliminated as Viltrumites pose a threat to the Decepticon empire, leading the two to conflict.

- Both were groomed by their empires respectively to beome the warriors they are today (Thragg was raised to be Viltrum's ultimate warrior while Tarn was manipulated by Megatron to be one of his most twisted followers)
- Both serve under a character voiced by Frank Welker (Argall and Megatron)
- Both bear some form of obsession towards their leader (Thragg is heavily loyal towards Argall's ideals and carried them on even after his death, and even forms a weird connection to Argall's skull, refusing to let it be destroyed. Tarn worships Megatron to a cult-like degree, modeling himself after him, constantly quoting his works and maintains absolute loyalty towards his leader)
- Both maintain a face of regality, often talking in very formal and elegant manners as fitting of their positions. This is a stark contrast to their nature in action, in which both are constantly shown to be incredibly brutal, often dismembering opponents and ripping them apart.
- Both maintain immense loyalty to their cause, even carrying on after the seeming dismantling of their empires (Thragg continued on his duty to preserve the Viltrumites even after Viltrum's destruction. Tarn would continue on his role with the DJD, even after the war ended, refusing to stop unless Megatron called for his Decepticons to stop)
- Both of them eventually have their loyalties "betrayed" in some manner that is connected to their leaders, leading to their downfall and them taking their own path (After discovering Nolan is the son of Argall, Thragg ambushes him, disgusted that Argall's son to be a traitor and unworthy to lead Viltrum. This causes the other Viltrumites to turn on Thragg and pledge loyalty to Nolan, leading to Thragg's exile. Tarn discovers Megatron has defected to the Autobots, leading him into a depressive state where he nearly kills himself out of feeling lost)
- After their leader's disappearance, both would take command of their empires in some form (Thragg would go from Regent to Grand Regent until one of Argall's heirs are found. Tarn would team with Deathsaurus to form his own new Decepticon battalion)
- Both would raise brand new armies to wage war against those they deem traitors to their ideals, as well as the main heroes of the story (Thragg would create a massive Viltrumite army out of Thraxan hybrids to wage war against both the new Viltrum empire and to Coalition of Planets. Tarn would join forces with Deathsaurus to wage war against Megatron and the Autobots of the Lost Light)
- This leads in one massive final battle between them and the main heroes of the story.
- In doing so, both would slowly begin to lose the trust of their new armies as they both began to be slowly consumed by vengeance, with them sacrificing one of their own closest "allies", which in then leads to a female member in their army to lose faith in them (Thragg would allow his son to be killed by Mark, leading to Ursaal slowly losing trust in Thragg, realizing he doesn't care for her siblings. Tarn would kill Kaon for having a moment of weakness over his pet, leading to Nickel, the DJD's medic, to realize that Tarn was only obsessed with Megatron and not the Decepticon cause)
- This in turns leads them to being betrayed by their own armies and left alone (Thragg is abandoned by his children as they decide to stop following him. Deathsaurus betrays Tarn and retreats from the final battle, leaving him alone with just the DJD)
- Both fatally wound the big traitors of their empire (Thragg fatally wounds Nolan and Tarn almost kills Megatron while the latter is bargaining for the Autobots to be spared, albeit Megatron refused to fight back)
- Both eventually discard even trying to uphold the ideals of their empire, having been so consumed by vengeance that their revenge against the "traitors" is all that matters (Thragg deems the Thraxan hybrids a failure and the Viltrum empire dead, now obsessed with revenge against mark and his allies. Nickel realizes Tarn is a hypocrite and only truly cared for his vengeance against Megatron)
- This is in heavy contrast to others who defected from their cause, even if still loyal to preserving their empire, have chosen to better themselves for the greater good. Both involve Earth in the matter. (Kregg and the others still maintain their duty to preserve the Viltrumites, but slowly realize the error of their ways through love on earth. Soundwave takes command of the remaining Decepticons on Cybertron, and chooses to work with Optimus and the humans to preserve peace and rebuild their broken homes)
- Both are eventually killed through non-conventional means and die alone (Thragg burns in the heat of the sun while Tarn is trapped in a panic bubble and killed via Megatron's anti-matter)
- Both of them have faced off against battle hungry warriors that happen among the strongest characters in their verse (Battle Beast and Overlord)
- One parallel is that Thragg is much more lenient to traitors than Tarn is (Thragg gives Mark multiples chances to join the empire and even allows Nolan a second chance to rejoin the empire in the middle of their fight. Tarn literally leads a team that specializes in killing traitors)

I have no idea who you're referring to, I've not read a single chapter or watched a single episode of My Hero Academia. Thought the episode was pretty middling overall.
That's pretty interesting re. Mewtwo/Shadow #2 though. I've not heard anything about a potential leak until just now. I don't like the idea of it being remade for multiple reasons (rematch instead of new opponents, dislike composite Pokemon as a concept, blatantly being a Shadow hype vehicle MU since Mewtwo's gotten sweet **** all since 2016, Mewtwo dying horribly) but there's no denying it's probably the 2nd most requested rematch in the fandom right now after Mario/Sonic #3. (another Sonic MU. Interesting)

Yeah I honestly always saw M2VSS2 being a symptom of Sonic fans getting mad that Shadow lo-, um, the episode was bad, yeah that’s the only reason why they want it. Definitely.

It's moreso new abilities, moves, etc. more than scaling arguments changing that I'm talking about, things that are new since the last time they fought, since basically every Pokemon character of note that'd be on the show nowadays gets some degree of Creation Trio scaling. Even PMD Grovyle. And then we factor in Shadow's modern scaling arguments, which are even higher, so we're basically back where we started.
Shadow gets Doom Powers (even though he loses them at the end of Shadow Gens, it's still something they'd give him), while Mewtwo doesn't really have anything new of note since Mewtwo/Shadow #1 dropped in 2016. Since then, he's gotten Psychic Terrain (not bad), Nasty Plot (probably worse than Calm Mind for VS. but still decent), Psychic Noise (ehh), Expanding Force (only really good alongside Psychic Terrain), and.. Chilling Water? Trailblaze??
And those all require TMs (aka trainer interference), so if we only allow level up moves, he actually has nothing new. Life Dew is his only new level up move and it's an inferior version of Recover which he already learns. The only thing of note he has to show off in Mewtwo/Shadow #2 that wasn't in the 1st episode is Mega Mewtwo X, which... I guess? Really not that much of a selling point though. and his only Fighting type move he learns naturally is Aura Sphere, a special attack, and his only physical move he learns naturally at all is... Psycho Cut lol

One of the only other rematches that might be worth doing if we're feeling generous is Peach vs Zelda since even by season 1 standards the original episode was bad. Would rather they didn't, would be especially annoying to have six total Zelda episodes that only uses the main trio and two of those episodes being a second round, plus it's not the most exciting MU. But both have gotten a decent amount of new stuff to go over, it's decently thematic enough and has good fight potential. If they really feel like doing a redo of an older episode there's worse options I guess.
Although Zelda would still end up getting stomped 6 ways from sunday. She's gotten crazy buffs but to this day she doesn't have anything that comes close to Power Stars casually rearranging constellations.

Im pretty sure anyone would like a bad episode with verdict you disagree with to get good fight and correct verdict to you.
Pretty sure M2 will get some composites so Shadow M2 for animation and whatnot. But lets be frank, the reason to do it is to get actual animation. The og fight is actual joke. M2 deserves a real animation. If people really want remakes, I dont think there are better choices.

It's not season 1, but Kirby/Buu's one of the few MUs I honestly wouldn't mind getting another episode. The MU is unironically probably closer than when the original came out, and both Kirby & Buu have a lot of new fun stuff to make a new animation interesting, Buu with the Grand Supreme Kai memories, and Kirby with the Mouthful Modes and Star Allies Sparkler. Though I highkey really enjoyed the original Kirby/Buu animation.

KirbyBuu animation was great but verdict was shockingly trash even for S2 but its ok cause Kirby won even though they didnt use any real reasons pffft. To an extent I dont think KirbyBuu is a MU that needs a remake, but lowkey it might be fun if Buu wins nowadays which would cause reverse hate lol

A KirBuu remake would be great, but the franchise’s third episode just being Kirby again would really rub me the wrong way. It would be like if Sonic’s only episodes were the OG Mario vs Sonic, and then they did like DK vs Knuckles or something and then waited 7 years to then do Mario vs Sonic 2, and then they kinda just not give Shadow an episode for some reason even though he is the second most popular character in the series.

I hate to be asshole, but lowkey only Meta Knight is major missing one. Other characters are bit too niche. And even then, DB in general just has weird holes in usage like, Gohan& Piccolo are MIA, Sailor Moon is MIA, Star Trek is MIA.
