DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

NGL at first glance I thought this matchup was Weevil vs Kazuradrop and was wondering why someone wanted a stomp this bad, but the reason I didn't even question too hard was because... Well I mean it's Weevil. It'd be a deserved stomp.

Lmao

I know the feat probably got upgraded but it’s still not to the level of King Vegeta blowing up three planets with a wave of his hand. Seriously wtf was death battle on for Omni man vs Bardock?
I find it funny that DB wank and guess estimating for both feats only to get less value when properly calculated is funny as shit karma
Sun disk esp was a nothing burger feat

They didnt even have a reason why Omniman scales to the full thing when it was a shared feat either and apparently the show nerfs the feat from the comics

Speedy only dug his grave defending the Invincible wank
Nolan didn't stay at the same strength when he performed the planet bust; he got stronger as the series went on. And I don't think (as of yet) it's determined if the show version is stronger or weaker.

Like no really
said feat is dead cuz the gun does most of the work mfw
They basically occupy the thin space in between the laser and its trail of destruction which is why the "timing" is important
They can't go too fast because they'll die to the laser but can't go too slow because they'll die to the full planet bust
i asked and said it gets cucked by surface area

So even despite the line being gone in the show the value would probably not be that impressive be far lower

I’m crying lmao death battle really took a chance and the show said NAH😭

Overall

When was it stated Nolan gotten stronger
Viltrumites get stronger over time and much faster with training. It's why a 5K year old Viltrumite was ******* up many, many of the ******* until a guy who trained good(Thragg) put an end to him.

Why wouldn't he have gotten stronger since then?
Because nothing really indicates Nolan is far stronger than he was in s1 compared to Mark case
At the very least now when EOS wise Nolan did get a lot stronger than before given Thragg gave him his props

I think I recall this before

A calcer from here went on that in discord buddy, its weaker then the comic version, also thats a stretch to assume Omniman grew so powerful that he can perform the feat by itself, you need evidence of that

I love how badly the research for episode been made a fool over this for the past two years.

Sun disk value nuked to Oblivion
Viltrum bust animated value either going to get lower or be nothing special

It's like someone mad a bet just to be shown to bet poorly

No way DB staying ten toes on the value for the feat for the next Invincible character it's getting the nerfed up the ass

...Why are we prioritizing show over comic? Did Kirkman say its more accurate/updated or sth?

The show is supposedly a 2nd chance at fixing/redoing some things that he wanted to change in hindsight. Like, it's definitely not a Kubo situation with the newest Bleach stuff, but it's more of a chance to try again using what he knows now vs 20 years ago.

Most adaptations may potentially change or fix things dome originally or simply improve the source material

Now not everything abides this, but most of them nowadays have creators involved more then in last decades, plus lets be real, when it comes to comic books and manga, majority, including us here as well in some cases are gonna be more familiar with the adaptation rather then its source

It doesnt matter what we say. Nolan beat Bardock. That can never be undone.

joy...
Doesnt mean you cant call out death battle, speedy more exactly for this, on what he essentially tried to defend, which is not even being supported by the very show itself

Also same goes for any MU, some characters won over others, dirsnt mean they are all accurate and its not even a matter of subjectivity in many of these, some MUs are simply having one outcome

DB Team is smug as ****, no way our talks will convince them. Besides all we do is keep ******** on them which is justified because giving Nolan full scale when he had help is biggest BS in modern DB lol constantly about NolanBardock. They either already got the message or wont change their mind. All we do is hating like casuals did to Devilartemis which I almost dont want to keep doing.

Only almost tho, because Nolan's feats were that bad :^)

Even with the potential downgrades of Viltrum Kaboom and the Sun Disk™, they could fall back on young Nolan moving a planet, which Kirkman confirmed to be the case, and upscale top tiers to planet level.

Still wouldn’t match king vegeta feat + Super SSJ Bardock

The Sun Disk actually get's decent large planetary to even dwarf star level ranges in the show which is a nice upgrade from the comics. Well... upgrade compared to reasonable calcs from the comic version not DB's version, it's still lower than their weird large star level sundisk calc lol.

Sure. Doesn't mean I can't slander the shit outta them

The Sun Disk is more likely getting ignored or nerfed up the ass given a researcher recaled below the version they gave for it
