GvS3 is good but it misunderstood why people root for Goku over Superman, which is that Goku has a clear linear progression of strength and growth through hard work.
Everything Superman is, he just gets to be because he's the multiversal embodiment of a hero and all that shit
Goku is just Goku
This isn't a knock about the compellingness of either story, and this a generalization obviously, but like everything Goku is he became, whereas everything Superman is he kind of just got to be in comparison.
Nobody was thinking east vs west, most people just rooted for the growth and progression of Goku's path to power more than Superman being written to always have the power he needs
Superman can be both a deeply relatable human character and a timeless pinnacle of hope and kindness. Goku can be both an embodiment of human condition and a figurehead of self improvement to look up to. So again, generalization, but commonly I think that is why Goku ended up being more rooted for than Superman

Sprite fights are definitely a left over from the 'early internet era. They still serve a purpose and DB will continue to do sprite fights because it's cost effective and it's their bread and butter.

Maybe, but a mirror matchup is more reliant on good choreography than usual, especially for two characters with relatively simplistic powersets.

Ngl I can't make what's in the first two images, but space is def clear in the 3rd one. The next mu being space-based doesn't narrow it down a ton (Shot in the dark but maybe a Rosalina ep?), but I really hope it isn't GwenEve.
