DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

It's frustrating because I genuinely like the series, but similar to OPM, everything in the latter half of part 2 just genuinely soured it all for me.

Yes, ik what it was going for, but the execution and pacing were so poor I just don't care anymore.

Part 2 was good at the beginning, but once Denji became the protagonist, it started to get worse. Then, the Church arc started, and there was no hope of recovery from then on.

I'm 100% convinced Fujimoto just got fed up with the series. Dude was already struggling really hard to keep art quality and deadlines.
Chances are he got lost in the plot during the final fight and then just completely lost his patience, leading to him just rushing as hard as possible.
While it's possible the ending would have been the same (themes and such + Westaboo wanted to reference BIG Lebowski), no one can deny the execution itself was BAD.

How it feels to like CSM's ending and Part 2 as a whole:
Wanted by Alex Ross : r/CaptainAmerica

Also, calling it now, Denji vs Yuji in October or November.

Bro should stick to senien before they work him to the bone like many before him, something that’s not weekly

Asa Mitaka, you deserved so much better than "Fujimoto"
She really did... What sucks is that she was  actually a good and interesting character, and then Fujimoto just leaves her by wayside for most of the series.
To think people were comparing "Yoru" to big Ryomen, gtfo.
At least Yoru probably beats Sukuna, which is... something, I guess.

I personally think he lost the plot a long time ago, but yeah, the ending feels especially rushed and bad.

Actually maybe Sukuna could take out Yoru with Furnace by completely eradicating her, just like how Death Battke argued Gojo bypassing Makima's contract

But yeah, Sukuna was a great villain put into a series with a dumb fanbase. Though uh, not too sure if he'd actually win against Yoru with that contract BS and transmutation hax.
Believe in agenda.....

I actually liked Asa more as a protag than Denji, so to see her done like this is so.... 💔

I did hear that buying the Michigan sword feat would make Denji won, so Im curious to see if it will be accepted.

He may have never scored, but he’s arguably living a happier life than Yuji, who will probably be turned into fingers that will sit in a vault for the rest of time
Let's be for real, Denji is getting slimed out like any other Public Safety member, he is NOT living the happier life. And Yuji specifically wants to turn into a finger to help out the future generations. He's the one living the life.

Debatable, Denji has a fiend for partner and no longer has any big names targetting him/Japan for being CSM, Kishibe also mentioned he was a natural at hunting devils.
Nayuta is also seemingly more competent than Makima, considering she already has Bang (Gun Devil's ability) even before meeting Denji, wich means she stopped Gun Devil before it even had time to go on a killing spree and that's why Aki never even joined them.

Simple answer? It's just transmutation hax, those swords have nothing going for them to actually be country level themselves, since Yoru's powers work via attachment
That’s my thoughts summed up, also Denji/Pochita getting destroyed by attacks far lower than country lv( Yoru nuke punch/ Giant Sniper bullet) don’t support them being country lv

That would be hype af ngl
Its an easy view getter
Asura still has clout and Broly is popular as usual regardless of the incarnation
Plus unlike with Kratosura DA won't have to fight to fix the script here he can have time and more plan the fight
Also Z Broly vs Asura is the type of Good vs Evil fight that I feel would be in DA strengths
