DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Been thinking about blade vs Buffy. Their argument for the breathing gun not working was that Buffy was a holy human. This isint really rigt since the novels says shes a type of angel, and the breathing gun was stated to work on angels. The g1 blog said as a counter argument that it didn’t work on a nun, but nuns and angels aee different things are they not. Besides it could be a retcon

  1. Storm Troopers Vs The Helldivers-177
  2. Dr.doofenshmirtz vs Plankton-170
  3. Batman (Animated Seried) Vs Spiderman (Animated Series)-160
  4. Adam Smasher (Cyberpunk) Vs Nemesis (Resident Evil)-115
  5. Sonic (Modern) vs Mario-113
Current update For DA vs show

in the end it doesn't get to the level DB wanked it
adds more to planetary invincible

Ngl 5-A Thragg and Battle Beast sounds as well as looks pretty nice imho. So if I'm not mistaken the Invincible TV series has given these buffs:

*Multiple resistances (poisons, diseases, nanotechnology, etc).
*Nolan claiming to have moved an asteroid the size of Texas.
*Space Racer visually blowing up a star.
*Nolan implying he pushed a planet closer to a star.
*A showrunner stating Mark can push the Moon.
*Nolan helping a ship out of and escaping the plasma disc of a black hole.
*An actual viable sun disc feat with visual time frames.

Ofc Bardock with Toei scaling still stomps Nolan (High 4-C Vs 5-A) as he should, tho (Show) Nolan Vs (Minus) Bardock may be a possible thread here (speed equal ofc) in the future.

Remember when some peeps thought Deku Vs Invincible was close? Sheesh!

Besides Nolan vs Bardock, which recent eps do you guys disagree with?
As of this and last season, mainly just two:

SimonKyle, mainly due to reasonings at hand, actual winner is bit more eh to me. I think Kyle's weakness to the LE is really overplayed, and while it's debatable whether it physically scales to him, I think 1-A Simon is some garbage. That and a lot of GL Kyle's scaling is really wacky.

DanteClive felt really undercooked in terms of Dante's stuff, particularly speed and some of the AP and hax stuff, but I can't say much about Clive's side.

After thinking about it for a while, Spawn vs Ghost Rider. They tried to depict it as stats man vs hax man, but I honestly think Johnny has the edge in hax by a moderate degree.

Moreover, Spawn's main win-con was his regeneration, but to my knowledge, it's just low-godly, so Johnny's attacks being mostly mental/spiritual in nature would bypass that. I assume their counter was that Spawn has resisted soul/mind/penance stare-like abilities before, but that reasoning basically requires you to assume hax potency doesn't exist.

Why are so many people on Reddit suddenly convinced it’s Star level now? Did they not actually watch the feat?
Answered your own question brother
That and they too focus on the size of thing where they ignore it involved a chain reaction to the thing and even if you assume the size is comparable to said star the value it got reach Large Planet meaning it doesn't get the value DB gotten it

I mean is it bigger sure, but now it isn't Omni-Man or Allen doing it and it takes multiple attacks to destroy it. That annihilates a feat.

So not only is the feet not valid due to it being a chain reaction it doesn’t even get to the level of death battle got it at.

At some point, I feel like death battle should just come out and saying the calc they got is bad. I don’t like them doing the Ichigo vs Yusuke way of them just redoing the feat in a different episode, how hard is it to just say “we ****** up on this calc we’re sorry will do better in the future”.

I believe they have done it before with the whole Ms. Marvel vs Android 17 Android 18 thing where they said, "Carol is MHS+ not HHS+, but it doesn't matter since 18 still AP and speed stomps."

Blade vs Buffy

Felt like they undersold Blade by purposely admitting some things for Buffy by saying that the portal cutting thing that was one of him Yingling cons. They never mentioned that it was a spell which could be a byproduct of them speed reading everything but they need fact checking. Also feel like they treated the missed one as a purely defensive. 21 blade could use it in much more versatile ways and Buffy's whole soul getting ripped across time and still iffy on that, making her totally immune to all types of soul manipulation. The breathing gun should have worked on Buffy. The novel says she's a type of angel but death battle amidst this and just chalks up to a holy human breathing gun. Has statements of it working on Angels but the g unblocked basically debunked this by saying oh they probably meant fallen Angels but because we never see it putting an angel done on camera. If they meant fallen Angels they would have said fallen Angels. They argue that because it didn't work on a holy human that it wouldn't work on an angel even though the two completely separate and the main argument here is when I try to say that it probably didn't work cuz she's in the normal human. They bring up that mad cap but the gun was stated to feed on disgrace. Priest and madcab used to be really religious before he got his powers so I think that might qualify.

I also don't feel like the skill gap matters that much, considering how I know it's not really favorable, but you can scale blade to black Panther and some other people who know lots of martial arts pretty much every single martial and all of them because month the street to your fighting like the g1 did. So I don't think the difference is that bad Buffy's go against. They aren't that big of a wing Khan considering she'd actively have to dip them in the venom unless you're arguing, she knew she's going to be in a fight and dipped them beforehand, which I don't think is really working that way

SimonKyle is ok with 2 conditions for me:
  • Outerversal AP does not negate High Godly regen automatically
  • Having Outerversal AP does not mean a 3D being is invulnerable to anything below Outer AP
If these 2 conditions meet, I can buy Simon winning fairly enough. If Simon has busted regen then he can stall Kyle pretty good. And if we use practical logic, Kyle is not immune to non-Outer AP, so Simon can kill Kyle.

Frankly, GRSpawn and BladeBuffy prolly have more disagreeable verdicts than SimonKyle.
