Same. I despised how the matchuo is pitched as "Heheheh watch this ultra smart guy humiliate Light"
It treats Columbo like a joke character and Light a dumb idiot which irks me. So we liking MUs cuz your comfort character stomps and is funny? Yikes...
Worst part is, none of the arguments used to support Columbo arent even that convincing. You have to lowball Light or be ignorant to his character if you think any of those arguments are valid. Sadly a huge chunk of the commmunity geniuely believes Columbo stomps when he doesnt

I feel like PiccoloKnuckles is most likely (Even tho I wouldn't bet on it happening). GokuSonic could happen cause it's very popular, but I don't see Goku coming back for a while, and Sonic is gonna prob fight Mario again if he comes back. VegetaShadow Remake imo isn't very likely cause a Mewtwo vs Shadow Remake has a lot more backing behind it.

My issue with it is that, if they go this route, neither of the combatants in the "intellectual" fight are going to come across particularly smart. It's basic logic. If you want to portray a strong character, you show them beating strong opponents. By the same token, if you want to portray a smart character, show them outsmarting smart people. Portraying Light as just an egomaniacal chump ruins the matchup for both characters.
Layton vs Riddler is in my 10 most wanted, but that's entirely conditional on if Columbo vs Light proves my worries wrong.
