DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

how about read the blog. Having a character lose in battleboaring and sayings its equivalent to 2+2=5 is a falce equivalence. Youre trapped in a state where youve convinced yourself youre right and refuse to look at any evidence or interpitations saying otherwise. Either way it dsoent matter you still lost 1300 dollars
Poisoning the well (or attempting to poison the well) is a type of informal fallacy where adverse information about a target is preemptively presented to an audience, with the intention of discrediting or ridiculing something that the target person is about to say.
I'll read the blog when the outcome is accurate.

Oh no I'm perfectly sober, at least sober enough to rather easily track down your bet with Mori, would you like me to? Or are you just gonna say that you done paid 0.00€?
Here to confirm that Weekly did in fact pay the full amount btw. Say what you want about him, but he’s a man of his word and afaik he has paid out everyone over Ruby v Maka fully.

I used it on MTG cards btw.

Nah, the G1 blog don't actually adress most of Weekly arguments. Other people did, like this person.

And i debunked this debunk in a later post, lemme see if i can find it

Ignorance coupled with groupthink is a dangerous combination, this guy is infamous for having never actually read Soul Eater, i debated with him a lot on that subreddit

As someone who read both, The original debunk post is more accurate to my thoughts on the matter

Like let me put it this way

If - Person thinks Maka beats Ruby, Then - Wrong

Nothing will change my mind on this and you are wasting your time and energy attempting to convince me otherwise

Hey I respect the devotion

thats all I really respect about your argument though (holy that was corny)

Can you also tell him to cease already of his maka vs ruby issues, he gets exhaustedly boring here and stubborn to talk to, among other stuff

Its kinda like Sean complaining a lot of pokemon losing and all

Considering the arguments you make (when I point out that Maka was able to block Crona attacks, you claimed she was amped by Spirit when she did It. When I show prove that you wrong, and show she was holding Soul, and this shit happened in different chapters, you ignored me. Then you come with the same argument later) I have a really hard time believe you.
Alright, wanna play ball, lets play ball.

She was not able to block Crona's attacks no, the most she could do was barely redirect them. Arguing that she could block the attacks is directly contradicted at multiple points in the final battle:

011.webp

Maka directly acknowledging that Crona would have easily killed her if they were fighting 1 on 1, and that she needed BlackStar to be backup because of how weak she is.
014.webp

BlackStar acknowledging that Crona is stronger than him (ie. Crona > BlackStar > Maka, with BlackStar having casually overpowered Maka multiple times across the story, even in the leadup to this fight)
017.webp
018.webp
019.webp
020.webp

Crona nearly kills Maka with a Bloody Lance, her only surviving because BlackStar stopped it. Maka then acknowledges that he's always around to bail her out because she's not as strong as him, which he reaffirms as not being a good thing because it shows how much weaker than him she is.

021.webp
022.webp
025.webp
026.webp

Crona pulls out the moon's tooth to try to crush Maka, which would have worked if BlackStar wasnt there, a feat of power which actively terrifies Maka
032.webp

After losing their weapons, BlackStar has Maka fall back because she is incapable of fighting without a weapon

006.webp
007.webp

Crona goes after Maka because she's weaker and slower than BlackStar, forcing him to intercept the attacks aimed at Maka because they would have killed her

010.webp

Once again, Crona would have killed Maka, but this time she was saved by Spirit

The ONLY time in the entire fight where Maka is able to do any sort of damage to Crona or actively overpower their attacks is when she's amped by Spirit.

Claiming that Maka = Crona directly contradicts what is shown in the actual story.

Now hang on a moment, don't you dare compare our resident lolcow Weekly to the horrorcow that is Sean. Weekly didn't threaten to commit suicide if Ruby lost

She has to downscale to a certain extent with her black blood dress or smth you cant seriously argue shes 9.83 billion times weaker

Hey I only complain about based videos such as the TMNT Battle Royale
blade vs buffy is based (except for the part death battle lied and said buffys scythe had portal cutting abilites when the only reason it had it was because an entirley different character used the scythe in combination with a rift spell)

Death battle lied or was extremeley generous to buffy for a lot of things in that video

Extremes like that no, but it is boring to see such a stubborn liar who cant admit to his mistakes consistenly bringing up an obvious stomp match is wrong cuz of their stupid delusions

Theres three problems with that.
  1. The Black Blood Dress doesnt amplify her physical power, only her durability. Its like arguing that a normal human suddenly becomes wall level by putting on a suit of plate mail.
  2. She was amplified by Chain Resonance when she achieved the Max Power Black Blood Dress, she wasnt just fighting through her own power.
  3. Even with the Black Blood Dress active she acknowledged that she was not strong enough to actually cut Asura through her own power, instead needing to use the Madness Wavelength of the Black Blood Madness to bypass his physical durability, and she needed her teammates to hold him still in order to land that attack.
