Also a lot of the gags are pretty mean spirited. Erza frequently abuses and intimidates the rest of her guild, Juvia is a serial stalker, Makarov pervs on his own guild, **** most of the guild made fun of Natsu for not being able to read and thinking his dad was a dragon when he was a kid. Even worse Erza 'taught' Natsu how to read and write by basically beating lessons into him.

Tbf, its not exclusive to fairy tail, many animangas do it and dive into territory of "they are 100 years" even, so thats just how most authors do, some more then others
Look at the attack potency chart values for that and multiply the baseline end with x29, may not even go past their tier or just jump into the next one around its lower end, most gaps from lowest to highest points are too big for a simple multiplication to change it

The more a shounen talks about the bonds usually the weaker the relationships are since they half ass showing us them develop because they can just have the MC give a word vomit about how strong their bonds are.
