DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Honestly DBZ is a mess. How the hell did Goku sense King Kai but no New Namek? Is there even any evidence against Cell's uni feat affecting 5D afterlife?

Cell vs Nemesis would have been a much closer fight.
I already did that joke :V

Cellbros how do we feel about Death Battle granting our boy fifth-dimensional scaling via GT and the Afterlife having olympic transcendence and Super Neo Metal Sonic being only baseline universal? Frankly I'm kind of insulted by what a pity win this is. Cell vs Nemesis would have been a much closer fight.
I would laugh at how my shitposting might manifest a Cell W while my genuine cheering for Asura did nothing- Oh shit I mean- CELL ON TOP BABYYYY

I'm playing on that.

O-olympic?
Qawsedf is a BIG fan of the olympic transcendence of the Afterlife. One could consider him THE pioneer of it. A great man! A GREAT MAN!

It's a callback:
Reading only the OP, the only evidence that could count in my mind is the transcendence statement which I don't see as being enough at face value. The OP proves the word "超越した" and the only evidence presented is the affirmation that it's transcendence in the literal sense. Looking up a Japanese-English dictionary its "transcend" or "supremacy" with the example sentence being metaphorical:

It also gives examples of what the OP is talking about:

So to my research Lephyr the strongest piece of evidence is based on shaky ground. Unless the OP wants to argue that the Olympics dimensional transcende other sporting events they would have to admit that 超越 is not always literally, but metaphorical and used in that way very commonly in written media. In fact one of the definitions is literally just "stands above" and you can replace transcends with "stands above" and it makes the same level of sense.

Additional containing an infinite space can be done with a non-transinfinite space in the same way a 2-A space doesn't need to be 5D to contain infinite 4D spaces.

Overall, in my admittedly bias position, this is taking a quote talking about heaven having supremacy over the mortal plane and scaling it to an illogical level.

So list me as disagree for now.

I'm playing on that.
Ah, but you made a mistake here. Toei Cell destroying uni statement never clarifies that Heaven wouldnt be included. So Cell would blowup whole Universe 7 Macrocosm and get 5D scaling without GT. Grand Tour is just a supporting evidence for black box info.

Also, it took 3 Super Rodents to hurt Metal Overlord, so his highend is actually 3x uni. Its easy to forget since its a stomp MU, but sometimes these things happen.

Ahh but you see around the same time period it took TWO Super rodents to stop the Biolizard from crashing into the Earth and ONE 7 Chaos Emerald powered super duper cannon would be used to blow up a singular planet. So in truth TWO super rodents would only be 2x planetary at most and THREE super rodents would be 3x planetary.

I'm afraid, ladies and gentlemen, that Base King Vegeta solos.

I mean you say that but DB will probably have base Bardock blitz Metal with a Trillion times faster speed :V

I mean yeah? No need to strike-through that. Cell might get speed advantage, pity or not.
It's just funny to me that this is going to be similar to Omnidock, in the sense that the verse known for speed is going to be rated as slower. While the verse known for power will be rated as weaker. Albeit people don't think Cell is going to win like with Bardock.

Universal is too much, metal fraudnic is a batman victim 🤯🤯🤯

just gonna paste what armor said here cause 1-a dosent really make sense

This is by no means a valid 1-A context. To follow up on your example, Mxy is using his unique abilities to intentionally bring Superman up to his level. A character accidentally dropping the book is not that - the book opens and the characters flow out. No mechanism can be used to interpret this as anything other than a contextual but inherent property of either the universe or the matter within that universe, which inherently breaks the possibility of 1-A. The Paper Mario book is not a less-real universe, it is an unconventionally behaving portal to an equally-real universe.

More importantly, reality equalization remains a thing, and the baseline reality is the Mario verse. What this would do is make the Paper Mario cast 11-A, which I think is stupid, but certainly not in line with what you're attempting to push.

It’s not actually a portal to another universe, it basically just is a magic-book containing a fictionalized immersive universe. In Paper Jam the characters are brought to life by the fact that the book is magic. So it wouldn’t even properly be disqualified in that sense.

Although, yeah, it would be properly a negative R>F instance if you were to argue this, but then you can argue for a UES enveloping all qualitative layers (like ‘the power of Love’, whatever) for a legitimate argument for 1-A Pure Hearts; and that’s discounting the Mario-Kun stuff which has Loony Toons-esque ‘he can jump out of the manga’ which would probably be disqualified even farther for the same reasons. But, hey, Death Battle accepted Simon the Digger having this due to an audio drama with literally the same amount of evidence. Mario v Sonic 3 should be fun by the same logic

Wrong sport

Speaking of, who do you think Ben should fight if he comes back? Seems like his powerscaling clout has eventually been built up again all these years since the DB happened (and fraudchecked him)
