DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I do wonder if one could legit argue that Metal's Super forms dont actually scale to Infinite timelines and whatnot.

Metal vs Cell needs decent HTH chorography
Issue is metal ain't moving the same way cell does in HTH

only times he ever did that was in a ova
IMO this is one of the reasons why certain characters just don’t really work in Death Battle. Take Arceus for example, his body shape means that any fight he’s in is just gonna be a bunch of ranged energy attacks. I know people used to have him fight Beerus for his matchup but what fight choreography could you do for both that wouldn’t be bland or boring.

The Chaos Emeralds canonically do make Super forms vary in power, VSBW scales Metal Overlord to the absolute peak of them but you can argue he doesn't. Although going by Bowser vs Eggman they didn't treat it like that, they seemed to have treated it as a consistent set boost so if they continue with that then we very well may just see the low end universal stuff used to dunk on canon Cell and then they'll bring up how the higher end multiversal+ stuff dunks on Toei Cell.

Yeah, and since DB claims to look at characters at their peak, that seemingly should confirm they'd look Metal at peak then too?

Lowkey I kinda do not like that All 7 Chaos Emeralds automatically make everyone 2-A/T1. Macguffins in general being used by someone to reach X AP is technically not guaranteed to scale for everyone who would use macguffin as well, there should be evidence for it. Its a slippery slope that makes everything power creep really fast. As much as I am Sonic fan Id be fine to be cautious with peak scaling.

Ofc other part of me knows that DB accepts way more questionable stuff so **** it ig :V

I doubt that goes through, but Toei Cell has more direct reliable statements and Toei has way more stellar AOE feats Cell scales to that back up his rating.

Given I'm assuming Death Battle is composting anime and manga, then Cell will probably get some black box high uni scaling

I wonder, if the end result of cell winning will give both Sonic fans & Powerscalerd alike to feel their confirmation bias that some or mostly the important researchers are BIASED against STH Series.

Do we even have Dragon Ball Kia profiles? I feel like that's something that'd be useful to have.

im pretty sure death battle is already biased against sonic. They made up excuses to why the tim eater wouldnt work on bowser that just dosent hold up

I constantly see people bring up all the crazy stuff Bowser and his equipment can do, as if his modus operandi isn’t always just, “Punch hard; and if it doesn’t work, punch harder.” Like, even as Dreamy and Castle Bowser, even while having the fabric of reality at his very fingertips, he still defaulted to generic fireballs and sharp objects.

I guess this is the
Garou mu we're getting

Funny enough is actually really debatable ( cosmic Garou is the definition of outside help and shouldn’t be allowed )
definitely, Kazuya stomps most his alts or get stomped (Iori if you buy the cosmic stuff) plus you can have proper escalation between the two characters that are heavy martial artists

Although Death Battle may not view it that way cosmic garou and true devil kazuya is debatable for stats
OPM has more popularity and view draws even if s3 was ass
Did they have this one in particular suggested? Also idk if opm after S3 was even as popular anymore or viewed, it gotten the lowest scores on various websites and clowned by youtubers or criticized heavily, like Nicholas and Chibi

yes the researchers like the mu , while s3 is ass OPM is still popular esp in the vs scene still

Cosmic Garou would've been considered if he fought cell, there's not many big name mu for Garou left that would require Cosmic Garou

for Kazuya they ain't using cosmic

A lot of people watched it ( it was the most anticipated anime in the season), but it also made a LOT of anime only people either drop the series for good or move to the manga.
Regardless OPM fans are in general way more invested in powerscaling than the norm, kinda like DBZ fans.
