Probably yeah in a straight 1v1 (Although I've seen some arguments for Reed sorta downscaling from Doom and the Thing but eh, I don't think Reed would win even if he did), but knowing DB, they're likely gonna give Reed his tech, which would include stuff like the Ultimate Nullifier so uhhhh. Not really, Metal would eventually need to access his higher forms, otherwise, his base form would get wrecked, just like how his next forms crush Cell, or even worse.
Regardless, gotta say, this battle is insanely cool and I want to see a Metal W.

Majority of Cell's MUs are considered Ls for him, so Cell is just ******.
His historical pre-DB MU was Meruem but lmao
I have also changed my mind, and atm, outside of like Amazo & Super-Skrull, it is his most thematic MU too.
If you feel any pity and dont care for themes, maaaaybe Garou for vibes.

Expected reaction for Weekly, no surprise there.
Is not really a pity Win for MS, is a normal matchup that happens to be a stomp. Considering almost all Cell Matchups are stomps, you should really stop caring about debate on discussing Cell on Death Battle.
You not looking far then, people have considered composite both, but Metal Sonic barelly gets anything, besides higher scaling. His Game version is his best form. Cell kinda don't get much either besides higher scaling, and some Non-stardard stuff.
