DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Beelzemon, one of the Seven Great Demon Lords, representing the planet Venus and the sin of Gluttony. While his power is vast, it prefers a solitary existence preferring to ride alone on his bike to combat rather than standing at the peak with a dark army. Despite being cruel and merciless, it is also exceedingly prideful, resulting in it never attacking the weak.

Ceruledge is a pokemon that uses a suit of ghost armor steeped in grudges.....

Beyond the basic concept of both these two being rather merciless, there's basically nothing beyond B L U E. Beelzemon is like an actual character with history lol
I have a better match for Beelzemon: Hell Rider from SMT.

I do think Undertale is a good game, but it absolutely popularized Whedon humor and Reddit dialogue into almost every indie game.
I feel like a lot of that humor is indie devs looking at games like Undertale that have some funny dialogue and gags (tho tbh there is some pretty corny dialogue in UT/DR) but don’t understand exactly why it’s funny, and then just rely on “quirky Reddit humor” as a crutch for both writing and gameplay.

Honestly I don't know why Finn and Jake are only considered probably smarter and more competent than Mordecai and Rigby. Both of them are far more skilled and experienced fighters and the park employees are waaaay more accident prone. (If I told both teams to screw in a lightbulb, Finn and Jake at worst get distracted by something else while Mordecai and Rigby end up nuking the 5 km radius of the lightbulb on a good day)

Tbf Mordecai and Rigby can get a simple job done, like the coffee bean episode shown, though some stuff for some reason involve getting into out of nowhere shenanigans

Like if they screw the lightbulb too fast it can cause a sparking monster to ignite to life and go absorb the electricity of the whole city

Problem is we straight up know they can't finish the job, Benson luckily stopped them before they went any further (and suffered because they can't hold a ladder)

Oh, also groovy jigen-pfp
Thanks

Fight has quite a selection of art made for it, so I had to represent what Jobber is cooking

So besides Luz vs Anne, what other matchups are there that the longer DB waits to do them the less normies will care about it? Matchups are involve franchises that are slowly becoming less talked about as time goes on. We already had Cole vs Alex as a pretty obvious example.

I dunno man, basically every other DL has way better hax too iirc, so he might just be bottom too.

.

Ah, Toby trolls people? Well I sort of have schizo theory that in DT, Mike was never supposed to be a big deal. So he added 3 Mikes as fan service after fans invested wayyyyy too much time for Mike theories in Post-Ch2 period. He probably didnt want everything to be for nth.
While power of individual demon lord avatar varies (due to the nature of SGDLs), Beelzemon tied with Barbamon in ReDigitize Decode. Also, in New Century, Beelzemon fought Demon, and Demon was losing with Beelzemon commenting Demon is a fool for thinking he can beat him. In the end, Demon X evolved and jumped him with his subordinates Megidramon and Gaiomon, killing the biker. But when Lucemon asked later, Demon replied he lost half of his health in that fight and that no one can survive unscathed from Beelzemon. So that avatar was at least pretty op.

To be fair, we do not know how long it takes to produce a single episode. They still have to make the script, storyboards, animation, voice acting, music, and editing, while also researching the characters (which will be longer if they come from a huge verse like DnD). That might affect their decisions when choosing a matchup.

Granted its been some time since either series is finished (2022 and 2023), they already have the time to create an episode. If they did not, that's their fault now, and they will need to seriously fix their decision-making. Luz vs Anne has to be done this year or never at this point.

The fact that we have yet to receive an Elden Ring episode and Eren vs Ken bothers me
