DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

TBF, Large Planet, and Universal are vastly different tiers of power.
Yeah I get that, but at the same time, planet-level Deidara I feel is much more egregious than saying the realms in Bleach are universal. Yet they don't even bother going into the ladder at all.

Tbh none of the Espada even scale to Bleach's top ends like that (unless Cour 4 buffs them).

That said between doubting universal Bleach (which is fair) and then claiming Madara and Naruto could beat Aizen and Ichigo if their have comparable stats to each other, it does come across as almost backhanded cope that the Death Battle episodes aren't outdated (even if that wasn't the intention).

I really don't understand how Large Planet Level Deidara is a reasonable high-end for Naruto, but the Bleach realms being universal is something they need a bit more evidence for. Like, even if you're being picky, we know galaxies are also present in the Bleach Verse, so the realms would need to be at least big enough to contain them as well, but instead they scaled all the realms off the size of Senna's dimesion which is notably smaller than the rest of cosmology since it's a pocket dimension.

My reasoning is despite universal bleach having more backing now than before you still want it to be utterly blatant enough where trying to argue against it is a fools errand

Cour 4 is more less folks final judgement to accept uni bleach if Kubo goes all out for Ichigo vs Yhwach final fight

They both get handily defeated even with equal stats if you take away the verse equalization that heavily benefits Naruto characters that both G1 and Death Battle use for some reason

Yeah, I suppose that's fair.

IMO, the Bleach Cosmology being universal is pretty much the only way it makes sense, and if you want to argue against Uni-Bleach, then arguing that the characters don't scale to the entire Cosmology is much more reasonable.

Yeah Tatsumi Kanji
And why not?
It just doesn't vibe in all honesty. An anthropomorphic lizard dragon lady fighting a persona summoning dude just doesn't clash well in my eyes, Summoner vs Summoner fights is where its at IMO. It's also just a ridiculous stomp, which takes away from the hype.

I think it’s fine personally, just cause like Kanji isn’t that versatile of a summoner, he’s basically a stand user
Also, ummmmm…
TOBY!!!! Give Deltarune Outer scaling

Minato or A (Fourth Raikage) could possibly work but I feel like Minato should get someone more thematic if he were to get a matchup while A is a bit to obscure even as a Nartuo character.

Does Master Chief lose any MUs other than Doomguy and (debatably) Samus?
Debatably Jim Raynor, and... Captain Titus.

Jim because Marine rifles in Starcraft are handheld machine guns with stupid RPM, but it depends on how you scale both(Jim probably would lose?)

And Captain Titus of the Ultramarines. This is a Warhammer 40K named character. He could be 9-B or 5-B, depending on what you take for him. Similar BS applies to speed.

I did say the Askatsuki coming last would raise some eyebrows and getting outlasted by Buggy for the sake of a joke probably didn't help too.

If it's any consolation Itachi did take out a few heavy hitters but I understand it's likely small comfort. At least you still have Obito beating Vader on Death Battle (even though I disagreed with outcome if Vader even got a whiff of SW Legends feats/lore).
Tbf the calcs G1 did have Obito possibly blitzing Vader. He could cheat a win via hax even if Vader ap stomps

That very ironic considering western franchises like Invincible, The Boys, Dispatch, etc have show millions are still hyped for the Superhero genre, like others have been saying for years it's actually formula fatigue with many getting tired of the very predictable plotlines and the capeshit status quo (there's a reason Spider-Man's biggest villains is often considered his writers by the fandom lol!).

From the East, MHA is a massive franchise that even spawned a spin-off with Vigilantes not to mention To Be a Hero X and OPM (despite all the setbacks) showing the genre very much still has a global appeal.

Ofc I wish non-Superhero comics got more limelight tho.

Tbf its not just about the superhero genre, also yeah those you pointed were a success by not being just an average superhero series like before

Although they talk of the comics compared to manga, which latter has a better success for more reasons

So...how well are we buying those calcs from the Organization BR? Is the planet size scaling valid? Cuz we get...

Large Planet Deidara (a regular Shinobi) and MFTL Kisame

FTL Zabuza Arc Naruto

Solar System Obito and Kaguya

Star level One Piece

Bleach is the only one with the most accepted scaling.
