DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

There’s another reason Ichigo is specifically chosen as his opponent.

They essentially got memed into oblivion when they showed their research—especially after Senjumaru’s feat dropped. Hence, now they’re basically forced to redo everything from scratch.
Senjumaru feat happened years after the fights

They shared the spotlight somewhat evenly with Ash's Pokemons and Yugi's card, wich made some GOAT pokemon seem like jobbers, Yugi's case is even worse imo, since we didn't even get Yugi's Silent Magician, who is one of his signature cards (The same one who defeated Atem.)
Funny how in the end hax/ability/versatility wasn't even one of the main factors, but raw Unga Bunga strength. Both sides just fought eachother in a slugfeast and a lot of counters/formations and special interactions between monsters and mons, as well as hax based wincons both fandoms hypothesized weren't even brought up, and at best shown as cameos.
Kinda wish it started more slow with both sides using strategy/versatility while keeping the playing field somewhat even as they one-up eachother to then devolve into raw ungabunga blasts from their stronger pokemon. Granted the characters looked very good, and while sometimes their movements seemed a bit slow and lacked impact the Top dogs for both sides did their job well.
8.5/10 for me.
Funnilyenough, she did show up, in the background of incineroar's pose, with oshawott simping over her,

havent read
A clash between Obelisk's punch and Pikachu's 10 mil volt thunderbolt in reference to the fight against tapu koko, the clash explodes like a tense pokemon battle moment, when suddenly the dust clears from horakhty blowing it away from being summoned. Her light fills the arena and it's just yugi and ash left in a white void. Yugi walks over to ash and puts his hand on his shoulder, commending him for being one of the only opponents to have pushed him this far, and congratulating him for being the very best. Ash then fades away as the light fades back to the arena, with only yugi left standing.

Charizard also joins Goku in 0-3 club with this, ig
I feel like one could make a parable about two childhood fan favourite characters that got so much attention, fame and favoritism to the point of attracting a notable hatedom and yet despite their power and popularity both ending up in the 0-3 Ls club and now some people (including a few detractors) are actually starting to feel sorry for them and their fans.
Metal Sonic probally?

The post got sent to the Shadow Realm, so... confirmed or no?

Would have been better than what we got.

does rayquaza scale to palkia?
Technically Rayquaza does scale to the avatar of Palkia (assuming Ray will likely get composited too) due to Mega Ray holding off attacks from multiple legendaries (including the creation trio) alongside Hoopa and the Mega Lati twins in the Hoopa movie.
Realistically Vader and Mega Man aren't far behind
Would peeps count it as 0-3 if it was Anakin or Archie Mega Man that lost in the future?

scaling the monster summoners using DB logic

1. Yugi Multiversal with FTL
2. Joker with Universal and MFTL
3. Ash with universal and FTL
4. Tai (dont remember the stats if someone can help lol)
5. Red
6. Mitsuru Kirijo Town level and Hypersonic.
