Blue Eyes is not yugis but he has borrowed the card from Kaiba before, plus seeing as people are arguing that ash should have pokemon that he has canonically released such as Greninja and Butterfree and pokemon that do not belong to him such as Solgaleo, I think it's fair to allow yugi to have Blue Eyes for the sake of being able to summon dragon master knight

I'm not saying Ash wins, Yugi probably takes this imo, but just like we didn't know Simon could resist LE or Hulk had the gutterspace feat, we shouldn't assume Ash doesn't have a answer for banishment or have any wincons for that matter. And wait till the episode drops, because I feel like y'all are getting caught up in Weeklys Yugis hype train lol.

His pokemon can bring him back from the dead and gengar can travel between the living world and the afterlife and can likely bring ash back

Only problem is yugi has hard counters for both of these scenarios

Imma be real, the only thing that was holding Yugi back was his need to actively draw cards in order to use them, but since they're apparently going to be giving him old-school egyptian sorcerer rules there isn't really anything stopping him from just winning immediately.

So if I understand correctly, shadow games work as a sort subjective reality that relies on the rules of whatever game Yugi is play/using at the moment. Despite not actively dueling Yugi would both be bound/benefit from the rules of Duel Monsters.
Spell and Trap cards should still work and he can summon monsters but they would still be bound by some concepts like drawing and hand size.

Even ignoring Weekly hype train Yugi has better arguments of scaling to the good shit than Ash does

Personally I'm leaning towards Yugi but that's more 45-55. I think both have the arsenal to kill each other but Yugi has marginally better haxs that can tilt the scales.

That's the thing, shadow games bind them to whatever game is being played, but it puts both parties on equal footing to ensure a fair game and prevent cheating which breaks the rules of the game. With this in mind, and the implication that yugi is going to be playing with original egyptian duel monsters rules rather than modern yugioh, there won't be cards at all, at least not in the way a normal duel has them. Yugi will have the ability to effectively summon any monster and use any spell or trap at any time without needing to draw them

Death Battle seemingly doesn't buy stuff higher than universal for game Sonic (at the time perhaps??), and the research team is geniunely biased towards Mario. For the Archie Continuity it's a whole different story.
