There was apparently talk from Discord that they will less focus on game mechanics but more rather what they have actually done in anime and manga. So this means both will essentially be magic monster summoners. This then led to theories like Ash could summon all his 40+ Pokemon at once etc.

Hence why, if there are card effects that arent shown in anime, that could be issue.

Altho tbh does the famius Necrozma scaling actually even exist in Ashnime lol

Yugi should be fine then. Its shown numerous times as well as outright stated that the effects monsters have listed on their cards directly translate to abilities they have as real monsters. Theres even an instance where Yugi while outside of a duel summons a monster with the ability to 'destroy any one monster' and uses it to destroy another monster that had been summoned.

It we're talking strictly anime scaling, no. Necrozma's big scaling comes from the manga, and in the anime the only one who was able to even match Necrozma was Solgaleo.

Theres also the issue that Necrozma canonically got put an inch away from death by a meteor...
 
AshYugi is such an old hat it was basically always solved. Yugi haxes so hard its not even funny. And Ash's mons were never that strong either. Everyone knew this.

Modern VS being what it is ****** it up, but ig Necrozma wasnt a thing in past. But like, you have to give way too much benefit of doubt to Ash for him to match Yugi.

Agree with the hax but let's not do all that. Y'all were saying this for Scooby and Mario/Bowser too (both series' profiles being awful)

So many places use way too high highends and not even as a joke.

Ig the real issue is most here knows ***** bad so this is just pointless complaining that will never resolve anything

If is to cover Bayonetta, It could just use a different matchup.

As someone who has only watched a handful of episodes on Soul Eater, I do see a bit of Zeke in Black Star. Consider it a bit like Dunban vs Baiken in how it might grow on me (even though an All Might runback is my pick for Dunban tbh).

Depends if they buy T2 XC2 and Soul Eater as well.

Hot take but I don't think Dante winning their first fight was that unreasonable of a take given their scaling at the time.
 
Tfw if they hold by the rule of 'both characters get every monster they've ever used, even if they don't have them anymore', we could viably get Charizard vs Blue Eyes White Dragon in this battle.
