Pretty much yeah, people dont like the idea that its tier 7 when the main cast has extremely consistent feats and scaling as well as plot points that put them on that level

You may be right.
I'm pretty sure the show has been going downhill financially. It was pretty much keeping RT afloat almost by itself after Red vs Blue ended, and I'm pretty sure it was getting less profitable as time went on.

If death battle actually leans to have characters or verses better in stats then last time, i wonder how far they wanna go with some, especially depending on the opponent, Liu Kang vs Jago doesnt guarantee they will bring up cosmic levels for MK top dogs to a character that with leeway goes up to tier 4

Trying to think through DB logic, because mistaking 24h stamina to 6 mins would be a massive ******* humble. Dante didnt get Sin Devil Trigger until after that 24h Urizen fight, right? Since they said base Dante would die to Ifrit Arisen Clive, ig they saw 24h base stamina feat as irrelevant since its for base and regular Devil Trigger?

Basically. Dante has better feats in base and DT, but all they cared about was SDT's stamina.

They basically only used gameplay mechanics to nerf Dante. No recovery items, no Quadruple S mechanic, it was- hey wait a minute the horse is already dead what am I doing?

Found myself thinking about fight lengths (and my proposed Shion vs Maruki MU) again, and how I could amend this:
After Maruki/Azathoth casts a Nuclear crush, Shion would take a step back and cast Haste, followed by a Spell Ray to clear all of the support tentacles, however briefly. This would allow Shion to close in on Maruki with a (potentially but barely whiffed) 2nd Lunar Blade, getting the M.W.S stuck in Azathoth's lower body, before grabbing Maruki directly and throwing him to the ground with a Fallen Eagle -> Clincher combo. While the fist is coming down, Shion would then re-grab the M.W.S and cast Rain Blade in order to cut down any support tentacles still around or about to be revived. In the altercation, however, this would lead to one of the Rain Blade(s) being reflected by one remaining support tentacles new gun(?, we'll assume it's gun element) immunity, closely missing Shion's face before getting stuck in the ground in front of Azathoth before that same tentacle knocks Shion back away from Maruki. Shion would then catch this Rain Blade as she's re-finding her position, and Javelin it directly at Azathoth's main body (EDIT: not before casting a lightning or similar element, as she's landing, at this support tentacle in order to kill it for good). Maruki, reacting to this, would cast Evil Smile with alacrity, potentially triggering Shion's latent trauma and summoning the Gnosis(yes, I know I've taken a hatchet to this plot point, but I'll dignify it as food for thought), leading to an army fight between Gnosis summons and the several Shadows around Maruki's palace. Only then would Maruki realize that the Rain Blade in question was enough to take Azathoth out of commission, similar to this phase of his fight in P5R, leading him to summon Adam Kadmon as the apple begins to collapse.
Shion would then tear off the pendant around her neck in a bout of stress when seeing Maruki do this, and would transfer E.S Dinah in response, leading to...
Keep this intact, but before the fade to white, cut to Maruki's POV (or at the very least, a scene of Maruki inside Kadmon), where he's reading Shion's current thoughts and past memories. Whether or not this is the scene where you want to involve Zarathustra, or the thoughts that Maruki reads is enough to prevent Zarathustra from getting involved is entirely up to you (likely the latter, given the Chekov's gun of Maruki's ability to neg. actions against him). Full Force -> Fade to white, check, print... but in the white, Shion sees two figures, one resembling Allen, and one resembling Kevin (both likely in VECTOR gear for the sake of the bit (And yes, I was inspired by a comment on my trailer: )
She'd stumble towards them, before losing consciousness, and then that would lead to her falling on Maruki's shoulder, and the above Screenshot of Maruki lifting her towards the throne that Yoshizawa was sleeping on. Not a death in the traditional sense, but you know what I'm communicating.
QOTD: Name an MU you want to see where you wouldn't expect people to get an army fight out of any section of the episode, but it would make the most sense when you explain it.
Could probably shave this down to about 30s, and have this contain only Dinah and not the Elsa. Either Maruki over the speakers OR one of the Persona spawns patrolling his palace could coax Shion down for the fight (likely because Maruki has the ability to sense people's pasts).
Not much needs to change here. Maybe show off Best Ally from Shion if Hastur pulls out a f*ck-off OHKO from Abyssal Eye / tentacles etc.
Going to amend this by having Shion cut Hastur down with either Lunar Blade or Lock Shot. Maruki then tries to pull a fast one on Shion with Tentacles (the same ones used to drive Yoshizawa berserk), leading to Shion trying to duck and weave in base. Shion would then fire missiles in Maruki's general direction, only for that to be blocked by Azathoth being summoned by Maruki changing to his rebellion form (the gold mask and white dress). You could also transition the arena to inside the giant apple inside paradise before continuing.

On second thoughts, I don't think I'd see Dinah destroyed here (at least not yet, when accounting for Shion taking the pendant off, potentially leading to Zarathurstra or Maruki ending up in Shion's subconscious). There would be a bout of Dinah and Kadmon trading attacks though, and would likely lead to Shion jumping out of Dinah onto Kadmon's shoulder, re-creating the headshot Joker made against Maruki in their fight before fading to white. A Chekov's gun could be set here by one of Azathoth's attack nullifying abilities seemingly failing to stop Shion from summoning Dinah before the altercation between that and Adam Kadmon.
Final Phase: AK 'Full Force' Punch is thrown, cutting through Trans Volans and/or Gnosis pack summoned, as Shion breaks down at the sight of both the Gnosis and the sight of Adam Kadmon. 40s max, complete with a fade to white, back to Maruki at his palace, holding Shion similar to this screenshot:
