Bowser consistently dies or gets hurt from lava, we're extremely generous as is with giving Multi-Continent level to base Mario characters considering the sheer amount of tier 8-7 anti feats they have. I do think Sonic needs a Mario/Metroid esque downgrade for base forms too but people don't like that being brought up so I'll be quiet.

Also, was this stated in JP? Cause uh... yeah, Japanese and English have had different scripts until VERY recently. We're talking Frontiers recently.
 
Also like yeah, if we use gameplay to use multipliers, whats stopping use seemingly limited time for Sin Devil Trigger?

They also claimed Dante was knocked unconscious for a month as well as got someone else pumping demon energy to him and showed a scene where Dante needed to lie down. They also mentioned that Vergil was killed, so Dante's regen can be overtaxed, while blackboxing that Vergil regenerating from that took years.

From outsider perspective, these are kinda blatant examples, but like, they are all lies?
 
How did the topic of Sonic and Mario come off the amidst of Dante vs Clive? I guess the episode really doesn't have much to discuss for most people outside the finishing blow and the questionable research.

Yeah that's the thing for me: DA is objectively a fantastic animator, but it's hard to translate animation skills pertaining to comedic and meme skits to standard battle animations. And I do think he's getting better, Godzilla vs Hulk being an example in this regard, but he definitely has a long way to go as you said.

I believe that was called Doom Space (obvious wordplay on White Space), but that might be a fanon name for it. Perhaps Doom Zone is the entrance stage name for the stage in the Blacl Moon.

Honestly, they should probably only give base Top tiers that stuff. And I already listed them in Sonic thread;

Sonic, Classic Sonic, Classic Tails, Classic Metal Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Black Doom, Omega, Orbot, Cubot & Big.

The only ones worth T2 base scaling maybe Infinite and Buddy too post Generations shrug

Tbf Sonic doesn't have the sheer volume of inconsistencies Mario's got, and Metroid was a different situation since it seems their high-end arguments were just kinda... fake?

Nero regenerated from something far beyond what Clive could inflicted pretty quickly with like no drop in stamina once he was m o t I v a t e d

The series pretty clearly works on power null/regen null rules

And if we wanna use gameplay, Dante gets infinite SDT from Quadruple S.

Do you know hard it is for me, someone who wants to agree with FEATSCHADS that modern VS sucks and doesnt like Mario's or Samus' uni stuff that maybe... just maybe, yeah, Sonic's uni feats are more acceptable and at least not as bad? Yet despite that, the issue is always Sonic. Its that damn Egg Pawn who is T2, yet if I say Princess Peach isnt universal in Reddit, Id get downvoted to hell.

Technically isnt the mid-godly regen the same as "puddle" feat that DB used? Hell, wait, didnt Nero block Dante's and Vergil's attacks too? And are we really giving him the exact same regen from physiology alone? They are different individuals after all, cant Nero just be stronger? Not to mention the mid-godly was a text from novel that might not match the actual cutscene so thats why they didnt use it?

And ok, whats the SSSS? Thats the combo rank thing right? Doesnt Dante need to keep attacking to keep combo up? But if they deemed Clive just as fast, does enemy blocking or dodging attacks still keep increasing it? If he drops out of SSSS he needs to re-earn it, right?

It still looks like that, as an outsider, the arguments DB used werent really that bad?

Yes, yes, yes, irrelevant, DMC4 had a lot of shit cut that the novel goes into detail on and there should be no reason not to use it, yes, yes, yes, and no

To an outsider the arguments are fine. We aren't outsiders, we know the research was dogshit.
