That's not how it works. Dante doesn't have a stamina issue for his regen, it's "My regen specifically gets crumpled when fighting DMC Demons that are as strong or stronger than me".

they say this because all the Ultimate abilities you can use from the Eikons technically freeze time in the gameplay or slow it to a crawl but I was for sure time manip would be given to Dante considering Clive has been frozen by someone else's timestop before too

Dante can literally freeze time passively in his SDT state let alone his other gadgets like Bangle of Time, Quick Silver and Chrono Heart.

I could've understood other points but Dante clearly have more methods of messing with time then Clive have in one game only.

Oh yeah I also guess Ash's aura (from Lucario and the Mystery of Mew and the Last series of Ash's journey) could come into play but I'm not really sure how Aura works in pokemon so that's a strong "maybe".

The unfortunate thing is that this is one of those matches that's an upset not because "the winner had a cool trick up his sleeve" but because "the loser was a bit lamer than you thought," and that latter point is very much up for contention besides.

Hax is generally in Yugi's favor. Ash's big improvisation is done via offensive moves which can be blocked.

Ash's stat arguments are generally more dumb, but even with benefit of doubt, Yugi can match if not exceed that.

Its very interpretation heavy fight, but Yugi can potentially stomp really really really bad. Ash's arguments are like 'he has infinite speed, Yugi not' and 'Ash goes to punch Yugi' which both are lame. That and piggybacking from Creation Trio is lame.

Ngl, at least Piggybacking of off GX makes more sense than creation trio. imo

oh I'm more than aware I've beaten every DMC game myself (Nero my goat more than Dante) but yeah I was certain that Dante would take time manip and that it could be a deciding factor

Dante just objectively uses SDT for at least an hour straight in his second fight with Urizen, plus with arguments for Quadruple S being canon, there's not a whole lot of room to say what they did that doesn't amount to more than ignoring shit

Am I with the majority on this one? This was a pretty good Tuesday for Torrian (I know it's a Sunday still, piss off...), and I'm looking forward to the OST coming out. I do agree that the death made me poke an eyebrow though.

I think there's some funny stuff in the writing as well, such as Garuda grabbing Dante out of his little Micheal Jackson binge, and Clive not knowing what a bike is despite recognizing an electric guitar as a sort of modern bard. Those gave me a good chuckle.

I also still stand by Luca Xavier sounding miscast as Dante (Stephen Fu at least understood the assignment back in 2016), which is a shame, because Will de Renzy-Martin (hell of a name btw) as Clive? Let me put it this way:
If I ever bother to get Xeno VS Anything off the ground, I am goddamn hiring this man. Having a bona-fide brit in this format is absolutely superb. Bravo, sir.

Plot twist; Dante was impressed by Clive's resolve and just pretended to die as he melted. He'll come back from the puddle -- DB neglected the soul-regen feat of Nero in the Savior btw, though FF tends to interact with such things anyway -- like the T1000 after Clive leaves and no one's around to see him nekkid.

Devil may cry from how ass this research was

Genuinely one of the best fights of the KS era but as soon as I saw 11x ftl Dante I knew it was wraps for him. On top of that even though I’m hyped for AshYugi it being so predictable for the next time kind of makes this episode even more underwhelming. At least the fight was close so it’s still a solid 9/10

Those were just their laser dodging feats, they have arguments of higher stuff from their cosmic battles against the main villains
