DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

I cannot fathom making over 1K in bets for what is basically a playground debate, like I could understand doing that at the tracks (I've bet more than I care to admit there, had a real problem for a while) but like having to fork out 1.3K over Maka vs Ruby is crazy work lmao.

Practically it's no different from sports betting. I find both just as nonesensecal but as long as a bet clearly laid out before hand it's morally fine

Sports betting is where men are made! Or sent into crippling debt, one of the two.

I'm mostly joking for the most part about betting on DB being worse lmao. Spending a grand at the tracks is also dumb, I should know I was an idiot that spend about 900 on a race last year on my birthday (But unlike Weekly I won, came out half a grand richer)

Remember we are only aware of 1-2K bets Weekly made. He likely made far more with far more people on various sites. I would estimate 10K.
Nah 1300 is the total across all platforms

But I do have to lead every comment I make on the DBwiki for the next year with a line about how I'm a liar and no one should listen to me

Surely there's better ways to make money of that magnitude instead of betting on the most obvious matchups knowing your side will lose
Probally.

But like, Weekly wants to bet on the Episode with Full confidence, even trought the results are obvious. It is kinda shameless, since is basically free money from him, but well. 🤷‍♂️
Well not by gambling it on a powerscaling show lmao, that seems extremely silly unless it's like 5 bucks
It is silly, I just don't think how serious people betting on something matters, just on the conditions.

Thus far they have not debunked me without actively contradicting the source material a dozen times over.

It wasn't a joke, I am still very serious, ruby should have won.

I don't care if theylaugh, theyve been laughing for years. Won't stop me from arguing for an accurate ohtcome.
Save me all your excuses, the fact you also owe people 1300 dollars and still choose to be so hard headed shows you a lost cause

The results were obvious yes, Ruby should have won

Said it to Ray so i can say it to you too; That's nice sweetheart, ping someone who cares.
Hate to interrupt but if you've run out of things to say it's all good, you can just let them know. You should probably just hop off the forum if you're getting upset

Weekly it doesn’t matter how confident you are in a character winning, no matter the community consensus, no matter the calcs and statements, this is still Death Battle we’re talking about. You never know when they’re gonna pull an Omnidock and pull the rug out from under a debate, making such bets when nothing is guaranteed on this show was a stupid idea either way.

Take the L along your money you owe broke ass

Just because DB was wrong doesn't mean I lost
And just because you lost doesn't mean Death Battle was wrong. People disagree with their verdicts all the time, and usually that's fine.

It's not your scaling that makes you contentious, whether it's here, on reddit, or your brief stint on Discord, it's your outlandish, and frankly unfounded, egocentrism.

Just like Neo vs Toga vs Toko, you're making yourself an easy target by lashing out and insisting that literally everyone else but you is wrong. Even if you were right, nobody's ever gonna want to take your side if that's how you conduct yourself.

Just like the guy who wrecked you on reddit and you blocked? Under your claim that he insulted you? Gimme a break, you a notorious fraud at this point by the community and you are too stubborn to comprehend it
Aww now that's cute. he insulted me, I blocked him, imple as that. The only fraud here is the person who thinks he doubted me when in reality I debunked him
