DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Blade vs Buffy is an old ass match-up. Kind of neat that they're doing it, but I never watched Buffy, so I don't too much attachment to it. It's probably up there with Jon Talbain vs Sabrewulf in how its one of those "About time" match-ups.

Honestly, after watching Demon Slayer, I thought Genya Shinazugawa might make for a good opponent for Blade.
 
Wonder if next time is in 4 weeks, 3 weeks or 3 weeks and delayed by 1 week at last minute :^)
 
Well, as for the fight itself, i thought it was solid, even i felt the voices sounded a little off sometimes. The animation looked smooth and the track sounded great too, so i don't really have many complaints for this episode. I was shocked to hear that fire force wasn't included, but obviously maka didn't need it to win lol. Didn't see anything wrong with the analysis and thought the edits were cool as well

I'd say it's a 9/10, definitely one of the best this season
 
Betting Blade but the next fight seems legitimately debatable for once unless they use Buffy's non-standard amps.

Yeah honestly unless in a week or two we find some old Buffy lore that gives her insane stuff I'm honestly surprised and happy that this one's much more debatable.

Oh, i also liked it when maka started throwing hands and slapping the s**t out of ruby, i thought that was funny

I really enjoyed that! I genuinely don't think I have any problems with the episode, aside from Maka's model looking a little odd here and there and them discounting scaling from Fire Force (not that it was needed).

The fight animation was also really good, arguably the best of the season so far, in my opinion.

Also, next episode is the Ismahawk episode, and it's Buffy the Vampire Slayer vs Blade?!

Thus far they have not debunked me without actively contradicting the source material a dozen times over.

It wasn't a joke, I am still very serious, ruby should have won.

I don't care if theylaugh, theyve been laughing for years. Won't stop me from arguing for an accurate ohtcome.

Man it's not the orginal wager if they didn't agree to it /: your orginal wager is 250 because there is no other number you both agreed on.
 
Wildest part to me is people using DB as an actual betting/gambling platform. Like seriously, I like DB to some extent but even if I was a major fan I wouldn't bet a singular penny on the show, after all, it is literally a show. Betting on horses gives you a higher chance of winning than this, it is a 50/50 flip that makes it seem like it is a 50/50 flip when in reality there's a good amount of reasons that make the outcome relatively predictable every time and the only thing stopping one from noticing it is bias towards a character.
 
Remember we are only aware of 1-2K bets Weekly made. He likely made far more with far more people on various sites. I would estimate 10K.
