My sealing technique is at least Weeklyversal, you guys better watch out :V

Last thing I want to say before I put my side of the discussion away for reals, is that I want to thank Weekly for confirming that Maka did indeed block attacks from Crona during their fight.

In a setting that has repeatedly shown that if you block an attack from an opponent that is vastly stronger than you, you will still take damage. I am glad that we can all finally come to the agreement that Maka's durability scales high enough to block Crona's 664.75 teratons of TNT attacks ;)

It doesnt. Maka has not ever blocked attacks from Crona under her own power

Blocked attacks from Crona in their first fight, managed to cut through Soul a bit and injure him and her. This is because she was weaker than Crona. Then the black blood activated and she was able to fight on par.

Blocked attacks from Giriko, a stronger opponent who still dealt damage to Soul and her.

Blocked attacks from Endgame Crona, did not injure Soul or her.

Wielding Soul is under her own power my guy, I think you should realize this now. It's the name of the series, the reason for the power system and everything. If you wanna scale Maka using only her self no powers, then let's do the same for Ruby. No Aura, no Semblance.

But like I said, my part in this discussion is done.

Edit: Teensy white lie. Here's a page of Maka taking a hit from Asura (not blocking it with Soul, not Resonance Linked) and being hit into a crater (not dead)

Maka without Soul is Building level and Subsonic. Ruby without Aura is Small City level and FTL. That hardly seems fair for Maka.

Rwby popularity long past its prime and is in production Limbo and SE been dead for a decade with only FF being a prequel ended give a lil bit of remembrance

That's what gets me the most, man.

Like yes, I'm obviously part of the problem here indulging Weekly but like... Guy proclaimed himself the only correct researcher to ever do this debate despite almost anywhere else saying the opposite. Let's be generous and say 80/20 for arguments in favor of Maka winning.

Then with Ash vs Yugi we've got so many more things to discuss with varying levels of what people buy for each other's stats. From what I've seen it's still like 50/50 for how people are expecting this matchup. Which means:

Sean, your time is coming soon. Another 30 pages to the thread!

I honestly don't expect it to be gory in the slightest. It'd cause a real big stink if the Monty Memorial Episode ended like how Erza did against Zoro. Probably do a high-contrast blackout screen to look like the Red trailer and show her being cut in half.

But yeah, Sorry if i came off that way, i am genuinely trying to have a serious debate in regards to this matchup, the condescension of everyone who is just 100% sure Ruby loses is kinda annoying

I legit dropped almost $200 in research material for this matchup, bought the japanese-only guidebook, spent months reading all available soul eater material, and am making arguments based on the information i found, so people just dismissing my arguments as 'oh weekly youre so dumb, of course Ruby dies why are you even arguing this' gets old very, very fast.
