DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

no, she didn't, she said that while they are weak, they are not alone.
Crona then starts to actively attack Maka and Maka admits that if she were fighting alone, Crona would have killed her because of how weak she is. BlackStar starts to fight Crona, and admits that Crona is even stronger than he is. Maka tries to get a hit in but it does nothing, and Crona sends her flying. Crona then follows up with a Bloody Lance, which BlackStar has to redirect so it doesnt kill Maka. Maka admits that BlackStar saved her, and then admits that she's glad he's always around to save her in fights, which BlackStar says just shows how weak she is.
which again, is not even a good reason considering that they left her in the moon, instead of taking her out with the others that are "weak"to fight (and that is not in mental resistance...they were trying to fight someone who absorbed the KISHIN).
Maka did not want to kill Crona, she still held the belief that Crona could be saved, that was the entire point of leaving them alive.

to clarify, Maka didn't confirm Crona could kill her, she confirmed that she was not alone.
also again, SHE SHOULD BEEN DEATH IF SHE GETS FLYING like that, Crona clearly has all intentions of killing her in this moment, and she is not exploding, so it clearly means that the difference is not that big, is just that Maka by herself is not strong enough (so are you arguing that Maka didn't get strong...AT ALL?????????)

oh, so MAKA WAS HOLDING BACK?

Wait what do you mean they are minors? I thought Ruby was 18

R34 scaling when both characters are minors is awful what the ****
In the world we live in...even AI deserves more respect because at least it is something that exists and is not a non-existent character, without thoughts, without life, without its own agency.
man, i promise to you, they hit me with a reality check when i wished i was Ben 10...but then **** it didn't exists, so i had to accept that it was not true...also i had a weird liking for certain ship when i was that age.

Maka was thrown, not struck. A strike from Crona would have killed her, as evidenced by the Bloody Lance that Maka admits would have killed her.

Not at all, its the opposite actually. Maka was actively attacking Crona and at full force with all of her strength to the point that she was destroying the ground beneath Crona and Soul was questioning if she was actually trying to kill Crona.

still, the force of getting thrown should kill her anyway
well she clearly didn't mean it

well she clearly didn't mean it
The point Weekly is missing is that Maka not once before Crona powered up and removed both Soul and Tsubaki is she attacking Crona with the bladed part of Soul. She uses it to dodge, hit Crona with the shaft of the scythe, hold Crona in place, and attack them with her fists because she's not trying to kill them.

Ignoring prior to that, Ruby was ragdolling Crona and make them bleed, that's more because Crona was using three swords to attacks Maka.
She wasnt hurting Crona though, thats the entire point. Crona allows themselves to be used as a punching bag because the attacks just werent doing any damage.
Black⭐Star also hit Crona but does nothing. That's just Crona pain endurance.
BlackStar also directly states that Crona is stronger than him.
Make could still trip Crona, and like, Town level doing that to Country level person is a little Impossible.
Not really? Losing footing would not be the same as dealing damage. That'd be like saying Salem scales to the God Brothers because the God of Darkness used his hand to block her magic rather than just tanking it.
You mean, Maka blocks the attack.
No? I mean Crona threw Maka off of them.
In that instace, Maka was holding on the ledge of the tooth with her scythe, so she could't move to dodge or block the attack. Black⭐Star saves her, but that doesn't mean she would't be able to block.
If she were durable enough to take the hit she wouldnt need to block.

If you need more evidence though, immediately after this Crona rips out one of the moon's teeth and tries to crush Maka and BlackStar with it, but BlackStar catches it, a feat of power which scares Maka.

The point is that Maka isnt able to hurt Crona in any capacity despite hitting them with all of her strength. Literally read the scans im posting.

I did, and once again I am point to the moment Maka literally knees Crona in the face hard enough to draw blood. Again.
