Toriyama made the designs, yeah, but the characters themselves pretty different from Dragon Ball fare. They'd fit more in a Dragon Quest. TBF, staff from DQ was also involved in the game.

The real debate isn't if Maka beats Ruby (because she does). It's what kind of death is Ruby gonna get? Is she gonna get an actual death or are we gonna get another Weiss vs Mitsuru situation where it's the most PG death ever.

Heh, thought as much. A bit disappointed Goji lost, but it is what it is. Death Battle gives superheroes their highest possible interpretation. Now, I could complain, but to be fair modern VS debating does, even us (me being pretty guilty of it) does that all the time where one-off feats are used and consistency is secondary. What I had forgotten completely is that for the uber doober boober powerful characters the size of cosmology also matters so yeah, given the sheer amount of stuff in Marvel there was little Godzilla could do.
