DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Ok be real folks that want remakes, how many would be too many? Is there no limit?
I don't think there can be too many remakes / rematches, but the obvious thing is there needs to be a solid reason for it. If the original episode was good and even had a generally agreeable outcome with new material not really changing anything about the MU? Doesn't need to be done again. They also have to be spaced out, we had Master Cheif vs Doomslayer just a few episodes ago, I personally wouldn't care to see another rematch this year or at most just one more closer to the end of the year.

They need to bring back Red so Tai can give him a nastier beatdown, have him drop or something just for good measure

I've re-read and it seems you are right about this, at least in regards to the quote you sent me. The question is, where does that statement come from in the first place. I can't find a source for anything mentioned rn.
That'd be a question for the staff

If we ever get Zed vs Skeletor I need it to be Skeletor protecting the rock of eternity and forget that he's in fact a bad guy for a bit and then only realize he is in fact evil only after he leaves the castle and they put up the shields back up. I need goofy dipshit Skeletor.

Zero gets that high via hypertimeline standard stuff. It's nothing Gohan can't get to either with DoSL and hypertimeline.

Like the can of worms that needs to be opened for a Zero W also more or less gets Gohan there too.

I personally still think it’s a Gohan W, but after Omnidock I'm not eager for Dragon Ball to be back on the show anytime soon.
Gohan's scaling chains would mean he'd still take stats if they are on equal footing tiering wise. And if Death Battle doesn't use hypertimeline stuff, DoSL is right there. Gohan can match Zero's best, and has easily avenues for high ends. None of Zero's haxes were ever potent enough to be absolute game changers anyway.

Not to mention rereading that CRT where Zero got upgraded, I didn't see anything that would grant him anything higher than 5D imho
So I know it’s a few days late but I just decided to read through the thread and saw these comments and. The heck are you talking about? The ultra series isn’t 5D because of whatever a hypertimeline. I don’t even know what constitutes as a hypertimeline. To summarize

They are 6D, possibly 8D for destroying multiple bubble universes which are actually multiverses that contain an uncountable infinite number of 5D universes each with its own separate space-time. With the bubble universe themselves being implied to potentially contain a 6th dimension in it.

Yea i think I'll make a thread for that.

Also, honestly, it should be an AP feat regardless. Either that or every cold/heat feat falls under the same category since it's basically just making atoms move in certain ways. In AZ case it'd be taking the binding energy away, which in turn would still be AP since we treat freezing as AP.

iirc AZ doesnt really qualify because it would be a High 3-A feat by default, might be misremembering though

Well the point is, it's never gonna be full AZ since that's impossible but either way binding energy ain't infinite and thus would probably qualify.

Charizard vs WarGreymon is technically a dragon fight, as is DragonzordKiryu a sort of mecha dragon fight, but yeah interesting omission.

Western themed seems SoL. There have been general many weapon users MUs tho. Id say StitchRocket kinda counts too?
SoL?

I know, I said hypertimeline because in my head that's not really a common accepted concept outside our standards, same with the bubble multiverse which I've seen get rejected in other scaling circles. Sorry for the confusion, but my point was while the arguements are the exact same, their high ends both largely rely on the quirks of a VSBW's cosmolgy system.

(I would know, DBS has very strong arguements for 5D significant space that got stonewalled by opps and mods, as well as Heros having potentially the same deal with a future upgrade I can't talk about as well as the CoT.)

Generally my point is Gohan has the same high ends as Zero.

Well that’s the other scaling circles problem. The series explicitly said that a bubble universe contains a multiverse. Just because they call it a universe doesn’t mean it’s just a universe. Like look at Gridman Universe which is also created by Tsuburaya. They called it the Gridman Universe in the movie and than says it’s actually an infinite multiverse with various interviews and directors confirming it’s a Level 3 Multiverse that’s infinitely branching just like the Ultra Series.

I never said the scaling was completely invalid, just that it wasn't universally accepted. Being universally accepted has no bearing on if scaling is valid.

Literally the only reason it wasn’t universally accepted is because people don’t have access to the materials like we do. Heck even we didn’t even realize that a bubble universe is actually a multiverse until half a year ago when we dug out all the various info stating bubble universes are multiverses in things like the novels, interviews, and magazines.

Also the people who state it’s invalid probably never even completed the entire series and just act like they know stuff. That literally seems to be a trend with how often I’ve seen people claim stuff even though things they say are literally disproven in the very series they claimed to watch like the guys on spacebattles and Reddit. Since the very existence of the canon Tregear novel disproves any idea of the bubble universes not being multiverses.

Uh sure okay.

I don’t care lol
I swear honest to God I've seen Sean get mentioned in the YouTube comment section of scaling videos and shorts. I have no dog in this race, but seeing VBSW shit on YouTube is always the most surreal shit

I remember watching SethTheProgrammer, (before bro was exposed), go over just how corrupt the mods were in the Roshi moon level threads of 2020-2021 and getting mental flash banged when he talked about people I've talked with

If they have actually read the various materials and still said it’s invalid then for actual good reasons then fine. But the only arguments I have been seeing disagreeing with this can basically be summed up as

1. It’s VSBW/powerscalers making stuff up
2. It’s not the tv series or movie so it’s not canon
3. The tv series and movie calls them a universe so it’s just a universe and not a multiverse
4. A god tier only restored a universe so they can’t be multiverses as it’s inconsistent. Only the god tiers are universal everybody else is below them.

Like we live ina timeline where SethTheProgrammer said Cal Howard had a fat c*ck.

That was actually a Youtube comments thing. I still go after Pokemon downplayers (usually Digimon fans) to this day.
