I mean, when RWBY does return I fully expect them to composite. Not crossovers of course, but otherwise the manga, anime and games will probably be used.

RWBY is realistically Multi city to relativistic, pretty much every other scaling community, or person doesn’t buy FTL, and scaling to maidens starts to fall flat when you realize they lose pretty much every fight against Cinder.

They lose sure but they can still take beatings from her and hurt her. How are you going to cut off a character's arm and then argue you dont at least downscale from doing that.

The very obvious weak point Grimm arm which lacks aura and has always been cut off in one hit. That arms durability is not the whole durability as cinder otherwise she’d be long dead.
Downscaling is when character A can fight on a similar level to character B but is still a bit weaker, but you could reasonably say they’re around their ballpark.
Not team RWBY + a maiden 5v1ing Cinder, all getting their ass kicked with little effort, and then getting no-diffed into the ever after.

How about Cinder running away from Qrow after only getting half of the Maidens powers
She could've killed qrow, someone who she knows works for Ozpin if she's half of her power, yet chose to run instead and we seen new maidens are able to use the full power of the Maiden Powers so don't give me the thing about her not accessing the full power of half of that magic, she definitely would've if she could

This isn’t how scaling chains work, also holy assumption, I didn’t even know saying half a maidens power was an argument.
Simple, cinder never fights Qrow, before this so we literally cannot know if he was half as strong as a maiden, this is just guess work and assumptions.

Winter without the Maiden powers cut off Cinder's arm
Qrow has a direct statement that him and three other huntsmen on his level would be sufficient to kill Cinder
The Ace Ops overpowered Penny who has a Low 7-B feat without using the Maiden powers, and who was also able to match Maiden Cinder 1 on 1 without the Maiden powers.
Its a major plot point that Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury beat and nearly killed the previous Fall Maiden
In their initial encounter with Salem, who is stronger and more durable than Cinder, Yang's explosives were able to rip her torso apart. Vine previously tanked a dozen of these same explosives to the face.

You do know that none of the Low 7-B feats are storm feats right? One is an explosion, one is KE, and one is melting. The storm feats are all 7-C to High 7-C

The one with penny apparently 'destroying a hole in Atlas' we dont see was always bs.
Scaling to Ozpins shield is packed full of way too many assumptions that only tip to high-ends and destroy contextual scaling. Been through this song and dance loads of time.
Cinder melting things with her semblance, or her maiden powers, is still not necessarily linked to her physicals. Not so much so that we're gonna try and put the cast in a maiden's full power court for the sake of making RWBY as crazy as possible

Either way ill be happy to read through the thread whenever you get to posting it. RWBY being within Tier 8 ranges is wayyyyy better for its matchups anyway imo, so much more variety but obv thats not what its about

I mean, I know you know that that's because Cinder's aura can't protect her grimm arm, but that's beside the point.
To play devil's advocate, I was rewatching Cinder ambush the fall maiden, and as soon as she uses the powers she starts to no sell Emerald and Mercury, until Cinder knocks her outta the sky. The whole fight is Amber jobbing sure, and you could chalk it up to inconsistency or maybe she wasn't going all out, but they pretty definitively dunked on her.

Amber was a new maiden and inexperienced. Her best feat is creating the storm, but all she was doing was trying to hit them with lightning and a few things holding them off bay. Merc, Cinder and Em were ambush prep-timing her too. Its been proven Maidens can be 'held off' with a large group of huntsmen elsewhere like Penny vs the AceOps
Maiden powers have just not proven to scale their physicals to the environmental elemental capabilities. Maiden powers are literal magic which in RWBY seems to only extend to energy and elemental attacks. They dont amp physically as opposed to just being a potent magical force, and thus i dont think we should be scaling anyone to high-end magic maiden feats just cause they could box Cinder in cqc for a while. The only thing that people are saying in defense of this is the old lady winter maiden just casually restraining Cinder on her deathbed, but that doesnt mean shes not just naturally that strong (or Cinder any less weak)
Rwby makes it a huge point that Magic is its own separate power (for some reason?) so it in general just shouldnt be scaled based on only aura/semblance properties.
And yh you're right about the Grimm arm. Literally first time it gets properly revealed in V5, they make it known as a huge glaring weakspot for Cinder and that its nowhere near as durable. Its only really good for absorbing magic, stretching and regenerating but other than that its a huuuuge detriment
