DEATH BATTLE! Discussion Thread (All-time Death Battle Spoilers Alert)

Would Mori Dan's hax matter against Xeno/CC Goku? I assume they would use Xeno Goku because he uses SSJ4 and has more of the monkey king aesthetic going for him
Uh, I think only the specific one that makes him uninteractable matters. There was a thread on it recently, and it resolved that if Goku can interact with Mori/that Hax is restricted, Goku stomps hard, but if he can’t, Mori stomps.

Thoughts on Helldivers vs Earth Defense Force?
Late as hell, but I like it. In terms of Helldivers matchups I think it'd be great to someday see an analysis of the entirety of Super Earth vs the UNSC. We just don't have any real stats on Super Earth's space navy, other than guestimations

lol if DP daughter got miles shook in this suit imagine what deku attacks gonna be doing

I just checked the video, it was Sam who said he feels like it's the least popular GTA (in terms of impact), not DJ. DJ was confused himself when Sam said it. Though DJ did go on to say that he thinks it's probably the least popular among 3, Vice City, and San Andreas.
Which I still very much disagree with, it's the best selling game of the three, and was the best selling game of 2004, beating Halo 2 by almost a million units in the US alone.

And that's not even getting into the cultural impact of the Hot Coffee fiasco, almost getting an AO rating, spawning goofy lawsuits and political outcry, all the memes about Big Smoke / "Ah shit, here we go again," etc.
Redditors are actually deaf. It is not that hard to distinguish two people's voices.

Wasnt next Spider-Verse supposed to be out in 2024? :V

Anyways since they take their time, Id say 2028 is also possible. Animation takes time and whatnot.

Tbh, we and DB call Kyle as Kyle Rainer for the ep, even FlashSonic mentions Wally West in parentheses, I dunno why they couldnt call him Miles.

Besides algorithm clicks lol

EDIT: Hey wait a minute he was called Miles in vs Static.

We need bigger feats for Helldivers cause as of right now

Helldivers may be in trouble

I don’t believe that shit bro. Ur really me ur gonna delay a movie because of imax for another year yeah right. This ******* movie was suppose to come out next year after across lmaooo.
wdym 'another year' lol, it's been officially delayed to 2027 since March when we got the screenshots and there were even rumors last year that it wouldn't be ready until 2027. this is the first actual release date we've gotten TMK

Does Sagat have anyone as a matchup? He's a fan favourite, is integral to multiple facets of Street Fighters story (nearly dying to Ryu, killing Dan's dad, being a member of Shadaloo before leaving, etc.) and has been around since Street Fighter 1, but I never see any matchups with him that stick.
Personally, I think Long from Bloody Roar is his best. In short: Both are tiger-themed fighting game dudes that initially worked for an evil organization before realizing they were wrong, after which they quit and turn into peaceful good guys.

The full connections are:
  • Asian martial artists from fighting games who are heavily associated with tigers (All of Sagat's attacks having "tiger" in their names and also having a tiger appear in his SFV intro and Long just straight up transforms into a tiger).
  • Both had really rough childhoods, spending most of their lives on streets fighting nonstop, they would eventually become known as some of the strongest fighters out there, thanks to their unique physiologies (Sagat being abnormally tall and Long being a zoanthrope).
  • Eventually, they would be noticed by their franchises' main antagonistic criminal organizations (Shadaloo and Tylon Corporation), these organizations would hire them where they would receive very high statuses due to their aforementioned power (Sagat becoming one of the four kings of Shadaloo and M. Bison's bodyguard and Long becoming Tylon's top assassin).
  • However, they would realize that all of the time what they did is wrong, while also learning how bad the organizations that they were working for were (Sagat realizing how pointless his revenge quest against Ryu is after fighting Dan and then seeing how vile Shadaloo are after they force him to fight a brainwashed Ryu and Long learning that all of this time Tylon did their experiments on Zoanthropes not to help them but to turn them into their weapons).
  • Upon their realizations, they would both leave these organizations and would now spend their lives as much more peaceful men than they were before.
  • A lot of their story is focused on fighting their inner darkness (Sagat is able to tap in Satsui no Hado but chooses not to use it and it even tried to take over his body in SFV but he still suppressed it, while Long despises his zoanthrope powers, due to him at one point losing control over it and killing his sister, he hates it so much that he isolated himself from the rest of mankind to not hurt anyone, although he would still have to use it throughout the series).
  • In the beginnings of their series, both of them served as rivals to the main protagonists (Ryu and Yugo Ogami), however as the series went on, the rivalry quickly turned to mutual respect and even friendship.
  • Both have former apprentices who they taught how to fight (Adon and Uriko), although where as Sagat thinks of Adon as a disappointment, Long is very proud of Uriko.

Agreed but the longer it takes the more likely people will lose interest and those who remain may end up having too high expectations.

Honestly it was WAAAAAY too early to release a teaser for Spider-Verse 3 this year (a few months ago iirc) when it's still at least two years away.

The silliest part is that they use Webcams in the Ballot Banters now lol
At least he'll have company in Spidey 0 wins club with Carnage and... Spiderman 2099!?
Yikes... the L's can't stop indeed.
The Spideys need to stop picking fights with Tier 5-6 anime characters. (Minus Miguel, but even back then I think most people agreed he should have won.)

Which is especially painful since in my opinion both Carnage and Miguel should have won their perspective matchups.

Other than that Venom's loss to Crona is valid for the time (even though I think the matchup was pure trash) and Miles' loss to Static are pretty set in stone. But at least they have a better w/l record than the Bat Family :V

It's so weird that some people are taking issue with the title for this episode. Miles is ABSOLUTELY Spider-Man, Put some damn respect to the name and it's not just because of clicks either. Even Midoriya is referred to in story as Deku and amongst people and debates, if one is being called by there hero name it stands to reason the other should be too. Miles is in essence a Modern Spider-Man, and it's fitting with his coming full circle story of living up to expectations, what it means to be Spider-Man which was a narrative point in ATSV and how he ends up proving an entire society of Spider-Men in the wrong. That on top with the fact that I think Spider-Man vs Deku has a much better ring to it. Plus, even though it's titled Spider-Man I think human beings will be able to discern that it's Miles Morales and not Peter with the red webbing, seperate Spider on chest and black suit.

~ Little rant over on titles

Another note; Tracks called You Say Danger, popular name choice but I've always vibed with it..

And with that...

I'm finally done with the FF13 trilogy
...Although:

I do have some more VS ideas on deck (Morag vs Fang, and N vs Caius come to mind)... but I STILL think Shulk vs Lightning is mid. Sods law, I will have made that comment, and summoned it into existence after Miles vs Deku a la what sort of happened with Guts vs Dmitri (I was inspired to write a Shulk vs Dmitri rap battle, hours before the announcement made landfall... does this make me blessed or cursed?).

I know GEOM's most requested matchup is Dark Schneider (IDK why) and Palpatine is Xenahort, but I really would want an Emperor vs Emperor Death Battle if GW weren't such twits.

And with that...

I'm finally done with the FF13 trilogy
...Although:
I've actually seen Lightning vs Acheron (Honkai Star Rail) being brought up a couple of times, considered also by people who'd rather Shulk fight other opponents as well.

Oh, finally, a Lightning alt people actually want to commit to.

Although if Shulk vs Stocke doesn't happen because of this, I'll do it myself...

And with that...

Just curious, how do you feel about this MU? It's made by the same guy who did Shulk vs Stocke

Good luck getting bloody roar into death battle, as its niche and had no game in years unlike most
